I hate to break this to you, but in a field of three, the third least important running back is the most important. Did you mean “third most important”?

Why was Peyton having Brees sling it the entire game? Bad juju for teams to run up the score like that

Guess Peyton did that to show how horrible the Colts are without him. But somehow I doubt he called any of the Saints plays. PAYTON, who is the Saints coach and not the Colts quarterback, didn’t call any of the plays either. That was our offensive cordinator who called the plays. And the weird part is that this is the first game he has ever called plays in a game. If PAYTON would have called plays it would have been a higher score somehow.

It was just you. Brees sat out the whole fourth quarter, and they rarely if ever called a pass play after that. You can’t blame the Saints that the Colts can’t stop anybody.

Saints ran over the Colts like a Mayflower van in the middle of the night.

The Saints were outplayed by the Packers in their 1st game of the season, at Lambeau, and still had a shot at winning that game. They were in scoring position, but came up 1 play short. The Saints defense is clearly improving, and with their offense doing whatever they want, whenever they want, I doubt the Packers are happy they’re in the NFC. The Tampa game, in Tampa, was won by the referees. Between non-calls, and terrible calls, Tampa was literally handed a gift. Anyone who saw that game knows that. The Saints play Tampa again in 2 weeks. They will meet Green Bay again at the end of the season. They will get to rectify both losses. If the Saints are fortunate, they will get to play the worst defense in the NFL, in Indianapolis.

Hey NBC, please work it out in 2012 somehow where flex scheduling starts earlier in the year. K? thnx

Could not agree more. I love it when haters are to stupid to be consistent enough to at least mask their hate on some level. Frauds. Patriots hating frauds.

I think they just played hard to 3 quarters, and because the score was so out of reach, only then did they let up. It really is to be expected that a pro team would not stop playing after the half.

I was really hoping for 70. or a record 73.

There have been a few games over the years, where a number of teams could have beaten this record, and last night was one of them. Despite the score, they choose not to run it up even more.

Had they kept Brees in there for another quarter, and kept throwing, does anyone believe they would not have passed 73 points?

But, Dungy had already been running the Colts into the ground before Caldwell got his inept hands on them. Their schemes are horrible. They have about 8 different offensive plays. Painter, a “professional QB”, can’t even call a play and their defense is predictable.

What a bunch of classless fools, i guess thats swamp football to run up the score like that,,

It’s not their fault the Colts can’t tackle or cover anybody. Are they supposed to kneel on the ball in the third quarter?

BTW, “classless” is the most misused and overused word on PFT.

No such thing as “running up the score.” When you have the lead, take it, and hold on to it, ANY WAY YOU CAN.
