The Seahawks fell to 2-4 in a painful 6-3 loss to the Browns on Sunday afternoon and it didn’t just hurt them in the standings.

Cornerback Walter Thurmond will miss the rest of the season with a broken left leg suffered in the second quarter. Thurmond’s loss is a tough blow to the team’s depth in the secondary. Thurmond was forced into a starting role when Marcus Trufant was placed on injured reserve with a back injury and now the team will have to reach even further to fill out their defensive backfield.

Rookie Richard Sherman stepped in when Thurmond went down and Kennard Cox played in nickel packages. Roy Lewis can come off the PUP list this week, but it would not be surprising to see the Seahawks look for some veteran help in the secondary in the days and weeks to come.
