Getty ImagesThey say that teams take on the personality of their coaches. In Detroit, where coach Jim Schwartz engaged in a little post-game shove last week, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh unleashed a big post-play shove on Sunday against the Falcons.
Joe Hawley felt the brunt of it, hitting the deck abruptly after Suh’s gave him a two-armed push.
Amazingly, referee Bill Leavy didn’t throw a flag, even though he was right there when it happened.
Maybe the NFL will issue a memo about acceptable post-play behavior this week, and next week it would be a penalty.

This game will cement Suh’s reputation as a dirty player.
lol, and he claims he’s not dirty? Please
I’m watching that game, and after seeing that play along with the facemask penalty, I’m beginning to believe the sentiment that he is a dirty player…
He’s always been dirty player. Back to his college days.
Suh is a schoolyard bully. He is bigger and meaner than all the other kids. Too bad there are rules against it. 3-4 decades ago he wouldn’t have the rep as a dirty player, just a tough SOB.
Overrated!!!
Heaven forbid tempers flare at a football game. Pansy modern day NFL fans/media.
And like any of you wouldn’t want this “dirty player” on your team. LOL.
Watch two seconds before it when one of the Falcons shoves him. Just sayin.
The guy was still on him after the whistle and he pushed him off him. Nothing more and that’s why it wasn’t called. Face mask in real time was nothing more than fingers caught in the mask, not grabbing. Big difference!
@4t9er – his hit on Dalton already did that.
Suh IS INDEED a dirty player.
Yea……So Suh just got up and shoved a guy for absolutely no reason? Just because? Come on now.
It’s only a matter of time till he cost the Lions a game. A big game.
Goodell said this is what the fans want.
Amazing how quiet the detroit crowd is. The lions are getting exposed.
It’s not the first time.
He also ripped off Anthony Davis’ helmet after Frank Gore scored on a 1 yard td, for which he wasn’t penalized for.
Lame biased article, and those agreeing with it are blind, biased, or arewnt even watching this game. Atlanta player clearly rams Suh after play, provoking the shove to get him off. This also happened in front of the ref which is why a no call.
Apple doesn’t far from the tree. Stay classy, Lions.
Not to mention the guy he shoved hit him after the play was dead. But its all about Suh being dirty. This is pathetic and anyone watching the game knows it.

Ooh, all the big buzz-words are out. We’ve already got “overrated” and “exposed.” I wonder how long it will take for some little turdball to chime in with “stay classy.”
Back to your mom’s basements; all of you!
Hahahahaha…. happened while I was typing.
The Lions are overrated.
Lions are bunch of sissies …couldn’t handle a hard handshake…..
Jeff Schultz at ajc tweeted that falcons players are saying that suh was taunting Ryan when he was on the ground after he hurt his knee. if true, that’s bush league.
