On the final snap he took on Sunday in a blowout loss to the Texans, Titans quarterback Matthew Hasselbeck banged his hand on the follow through against the arm/wrist/hand of a defender. Hasselbeck thereafter left the game, and he was replaced by rookie Jake Locker.

Even though cameras thereafter spotted Hasselbeck with his thumb in a cup of ice, the Titans tell PFT via email that Locker entered the game because of the score, and that Hasselbeck’s injury isn’t a concern.

So even thought he appeared to be injured, it apparently wouldn’t have been enough to keep him from playing. According to the team. Apparently.
