The Damn Excuse that The Bears Defense Was so Great and Rex just rode their coattails is obnoxious and completely wrong. Kyle Orton had the same chances and same team and couldnt get us into the playoffs ..Unless you wathched every game that year of Chicago you have no clue. Im resting my case with Rex had won a Nfc Championship and Has Been To A Super Bowl. You clowns who never have played a sport have no clue what it takes to do that. None of the the wins were 3-0. If I remember right Rex put up 35 on New orleans in the Nfc Championship..How many other qbs in league have done that??? You think its luck? Or he stinks still?? Stinks is todd collins, John Beck types not a guy who is well over 500 as a starter. Wake up and realize stats besides wins and losses are for LOSERS! CASE CLOSED!

Why is asking who the QB is next week a dumb question? They have 2 (which means they really don’t have one).

You are correct, it's far from a dumb question especially when it comes to MS. I'll never forget the monumental ego? stupidity? whatever it was...of having a team at 7-5 and in the playoff race and yanking JP for a rookie Cutler in 06. Think they made the playoffs? Nope.
The only dumber yanking I can recall was when Smith replaced Orton at the end of 05 right before the playoffs with RG who had played about 3 snaps ever for Chi.

It's just a matter of time all you haters. I see Giant fan talking smack, and yes Skins fans were excited because we thought we beat a credible opponent in week 1, but now as you can see Giant fan you are as average as the next team in the NFC. Have fun winning the East, and losing in the first round of the playoffs, while we stay patient and allow the new regime to continue to rebuild this team. As for yesterday's performance, I don't know if any of you haters have noticed, Carolina has been dominating defenses all season with an incredibly talented rookie (See Green Bay....). As for our QB, it was his first start in 4 years, and it sure looked respectable to me. We still have more games to play, and all the Giant, Eagle, and Cowboy fans need to be reminded that we still have have another game to play. I can't wait, and I will not disappear win or lose. HTTR!!

Why is anyone surprised about this? It was clear before that the Washington Redskins had overachieved and it's CRYSTAL CLEAR now. While it was clear that they needed to move on from Donovan McNabb, it is CRYSTAL CLEAR that they should have replaced him with a better option than Grossman/Beck. The defense can't stop the run, their quarterbacks can't quarterback, and now their best receiver is out. Hello top 5 draft pick.

@rexsuperbowl6:

Take the Rex-colored glasses off, buddy. He rode the coattails of a very good Bears team to his one Super Bowl appearance. Other than that, he has proven to be worse than useless. He didn't get one single phone call from another team when he was a free agent and that alone should indicate: career-backup status is in his future.

When your team doesn't have a franchise QB, you need someone who at least won't lose games for you. Rex threw away all of the comeback chances the defense gave him in the Eagles game, and he was bad-to-awful in the games before that (other than the Giants game -- his one shining moment in the sun this year).

Of the two QBs on the Skins' roster right now, Beck by far gives them the best chance at winning. He is much less careless with the ball and he has the quick feet to scramble out of trouble and make plays for you.

Basically, this is the same collapse that happens every year.

Beck threw two near picks in the first half, one in the second, and got called for an intentional grounding penalty that even Grossman wouldn't have made. He was terrible the first half. Hopefully he'll get better, I have faith.

Rex only had one year as a starter under his belt, and it was a terrible year. 50% completion, 35/20 TD ration, under 7 YPA, 5 lost fumbles...and his team still made it to the Super Bowl.

One comment I heard this morning was that London Fletcher was 'part of the problem' on defense. Dude has played his heart out for this team, IS the heart of the defense...and you want to run him out of town like you did Portis? Eeesh.

LOL at the guy with "rexsuperbowl" in his name.

Look, it never mattered who our QB was this year. Shanny knows they aren't the long term answer and they were only keeping the seat warm for the QB we draft at the top of next years draft.

We just had too many holes to fill in one offseason, so QB got pushed to the backburner.

Shanny did a pretty good job of getting the most value out of his draft picks and FA acquisitions/trades.

The competitive part of our season is over. Too many injuries and not enough depth. Let the young WRs play, see what we have in the young guys on defense.

Next season - we'll be looking at Dwayne Bowe, we'll draft a QB 1st round. Also add an ILB, CB, and interior O-lineman.

2013 well be ready for a push.

Our offense was the issue every week, even the wins were bad. Yesterday the defense was overpowered for the 1st time, and we’ve caught the injury bug. As far as Beck, I still think it’s better than if we keep McNabb or continued to watch Rex regress…..overall all, we are still acquiring players, to expect a big time team this year is premature. Next draft, a QB, more offensive linemen, another reciever- by the way, where’s Leonard Hankerson???

Hankerson was running the wrong route that last time I saw.

hahahahaha!! All those Hail! chants I’ve listened to all year when we all knew you guys are garbage. Rag on Romo all you want but we got the easiest schedule the rest of the way and will probably win the division. Your stupid Skins are gonna be 5-11.

This has got to be the most idiotic thing posted today...of course then again we all know cowboy fans aren't the brightest nor the most knowlegeable of football fans...

That wasn't a stupid question. Shanahan never said that Beck was the QB for the rest of the Season. I do find it odd that when the Redskins get beat that they are just a really bad team. However when the redskins beat someone that team is suffering from a multitude of injuries and thats how the redskins won. Yes the Redskins were in first place and probably should still be there. They barely lost to the eagles even after committing 4 turnovers (two in the redzone) and losing their starting left tackle and left guard. However yesterday they lost to a team that played flawless football .The Panthers were prepared and the Redskins weren't which is the coaches fault. Bt also give credit to the Panthers .Cam newton is better than I would have thought and his team helped him. They played as a team . And they played well.

Tense day in Washington, yes, because Shanny needs to be lighting into to his team especially the defense for their play. I am still a redskins fan and probably will always be. Am I dissapointed ,yes , will I jump off the Wagon ,no, I leave that type fan to the Dallas Cowgirls.
