"Rex Ryan says the Jets are going to be tough to beat. The three teams who have beaten them may disagree."

This is insinuating that the 3 teams who beat the Jets would tell you they aren't tough to beat.

But the Chargers DIDN'T beat the Jets, yet somehow they are ranked 10...7 spots above the Jets.

Either your logic is messed up, or you need better one-liners to go along with you power rankings...

how can one say the saints nickel DB is better than the 9ers best corner when the 9ers have a better pass defense? i guarantee the 9ers have at least 3 pro bowlers on defense. want to bet? want to bet which team has more defensive pro bowlers overall? heck, id even bet you the 9ers have more pro bowlers as an entire team than NO, but i know for sure SF defense will have at least 3. there might be 1-2 on NO.

you want to respect only the recent past but forget about the rest of it? lol alright bud. last time i checked your team got beat by the worst playoff team in the history of the NFL as the defending SB champs. how embarrassing. your team is fighting for a championship like SF, you arent GB, the defending champs.

if 10 years ago means nothing to you, 2 years ago means the same thing.

not to mention the fact that you support 1 of the worst franchises in the history of the NFL. i remember beating up on the saints twice a year. lol you were the worst team in the old NFC west. thats hard to do.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

....and stupid.

Have a nice day.

I know I may be a Niners fan, but what is with all these Saints better than Niners posts??? How can anyone really say that

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know. Why don't you check out the thread on the 49ers message board? There are some quite sane 49ers fans who acknowledge the Saints are a better team.

Believe me, I know how you feel though. For many years I always wondered why the Saints never got the benefit of the doubt from the national media when it came to teams that they were just as good as. It took one of the greatest seasons by any team in the Super Bowl era to remedy that.

That's just life man, that's the way it works. Niners still have a whole lot to prove.

We are talking about a loser franchise compared to 1 with 5 rings. Lol at you bringing up the past.

----------------------------------------------------------------

The difference is, our successes in the very recent past. Your team hasn't been relevant since Jeff Garthia was around and even then you were barely a playoff team.

For a team with such a storied history, Niners fans sure have a massive inferiority complex. But hey, keep arguing about these power rankings. Gotta have something in your life to brag about.

Nope. Smith, Willis and Bowman maybe. The Saints nickel corner is better than Rogers and Goldson can't hold a candle to Jenkins. Brooks isn't any better than Casillas and matter of fact is probably worse. McDonald is not better than any one of Ellis, Rodgers or Franklin.

I know I may be a Niners fan, but what is with all these Saints better than Niners posts??? How can anyone really say that. Not only do the Saints have 2 loses, but they lost to Tampa the week after the Niners beat them by 45 points. Don't get me wrong, 62 points against any NFL team is impressive, but that isn't a reason to automatically think a team with 2 loses this early is such an amazing team. It's obvious they have their flaws. The Saints strength is their offense. The Niners strength is their defense. So for people to look at 62 points and simply say, "well they are better" is simply absurd. Look at everything. The division the Niners r in means nothing. They have only played 1 divisional game. 3 of their wins came against winning teams, they are undefeated on the road (all on the east coast), and they came back from a 20 point deficit against the "dream team".

you said we have nobody better than 2 of your DBs when we have a better secondary.

Aldon Smith, Ray Mcdonald, Justin Smith, Navaro Bowman, Patrick Willis, Ahmad Brooks, Dashon Goldson, Carlos Rogers would all start on your team.

if your defense had so many good players why are they not very good? and why is SF a top defense in the NFL.'

also, SF hasnt allowed a 100 yard rusher in almost 30 consecutive games. best in the NFL.

you have opinions which cant be backed up. i have proof. prove your point because you look like an ignorant fool.

you have opinions which cant be backed up. i have proof. prove your point because you look like an ignorant fool.

“name 1 position you’d take a 9er player over a saints player”

Is that a joke? The 9ers defense is a lot better. I’d easily take at least 9 players on SF defense than New Orleans. Not to mention running backs and tight ends. The saints only clear advantage is at QB and Alex Smith is quietly becoming very efficient so he hasn’t been a weak spot.

Should we add in special teams? Because every 9er specialist is superior.

And the 9ers have 2 inside backers better than Vilma. Maybe you should at least read since you don’t watch the games.
-----------------------------------------------
No tool, it's not a joke.

9 players? LMFAO

This ought to be good. Please name them.

From what I see and as previously stated. You might have better numbers as a whole, but do not have a cover corner like Jabari Greer, a playmaker like Malcomb Jenkins, or a pass rusher like Will Smith. All three of those guys would start over who you have now. Even Patrick Robinson (budding star) and Tracy Porter (Super Bowl hero) would probably start for you guys.

LB's I'll give you. Shanle brings the whole unit down by himself.

Offensively, we have superior WR's, RB's (depth wise), OLine, QB, and TE's (Jimmy Graham is 3rd in the league in yrds). This is not debatable and insulting that you even try.

Special Teams wise, Sproles is the best return man in the game not named Hester. Morestead should be in the pro bowl and Kasay has simply been one of the best for years.

Your coach is still a rookie and Alex Smith is a stellar 0-4 vs Payton's Saints, with NO having won 5 straight. The niners are 1-7 vs NO since 2001.

Hope you didn't crap yourself.

—————————————————————-

Incorrect.

The 49ers defense may have better numbers, but that doesn’t mean they have better players across the board. You have nobody in your secondary half as good as Jabari Greer or Malcolm Jenkins. I don’t see a player as good as Sedrick Ellis on your front line either. I’ll give you the linebackers although its a bit disingenuous to compare two very different front-7s.

On offense the Saints have the edge in every single position. They don’t have a single back as productive as Gore but they have a three-headed monster than grossly outmatches what the Niners put out there. Don’t get me started on receivers and tight ends, or offensive line for that matter.

-------------------

is anyone else hearing this guy? LOL

Justin Smith is better than ANY d lineman you have. thats not even close. all 4 of our Linebackers are better than your group. we have a better pass rush and a better secondary. jabari greer and malcom Jenkins? is this dude for real? um Carlos Rogers?? Dashon Goldson? do you watch football?

SF gived up 6 points less a game(2nd in NFL)
SF is 4th best on 3rd down (Saints are 17th)
SF 11th in yards per play (Saints 22)
SF has a much better pass rush(justin Smith leads NFL in total sacks and QB pressures) not to mention Aldon Smith (might be DROY at this point)
SF has more passes defensed and twice as many INTs
SF has more fumbles forced.

the 9ers are better than New Orleans in every defensive category yet you want to say that New Orleans has a better defense. you are delusional and i just gutted your entire post.

and you act like theres a better TE tandem in the NFL than SFs.

youd take your 3 headed "monster" over Gore and Hunter? haha delusional might be too nice a word for you. go through the rosters, SF has more quality starters than NO.
