Nnamdi hasn’t played long enough to prove he’s the best corner in the league. He was the best on the Raiders….but not on this team. Asante knows that and thats why he’s talking now

Since when is being a good cornerback solely about interceptions? Nhamdi made guys disappear in Oakland. When was the last time Asante did that? Part of the reason Samuel gets those picks is that opposing QBs have no fear throwing at him. They know for every play he makes, he’ll give them two back. For the youngsters, there was a guy about 15 years called Ray Buchanan that did the same thing – he and Asante are mirror images on one and other. They even have the same love of hearing their own voice.

Please learn what you are talking about.
1. The star studded fa class is not hard to sign. What is hard to do, is build a complete football team. That is hard. When Roseman does that, I will then congratulate him.

2. The Eagles had a good game against Rex Grossman and the Skins. The 1 win Panthers did not seem to have much problems with them either.

3. PLease do not tell me about their salary cap management. The reason why there salary cap is low has nothing to do with management and everything to do with not having to pay skilled position players. Jackson, Maclin, and McCoy are all working under Rookie contracts. Until this year, they were paying Vick $1 million. When Jackson, Maclin, and McCoy come up for contracts, let’s see how good their salary cap management is–especially since they pay about 24 million to three corners now.

Yeah, I’m serious. You’re a fan and want your team to win championships. Virtually every player who has played for the Eagles has wanted to be a champion. The coaches want to be champions. Sorry, but ” if the team doesn’t win a championship, everyone should get fired ” doesn’t follow. Not at all. But when it never happens? Something essential is not right.

Smith was Maclin insurance with a wr group like the eagles have, how much would u expect to see him. Plus he’s out there just not open or dropping the ball. Andy Reid made football in philly relevant again. he clearly is a qb genius. Mcnabb, kolb, feely all stink now but were highly regarded while they were here. I wonder how well vick would be playing somewhere else. The only place Reid is going is to the HOF. He is one of the best coaches of this era. The media hates him because he gives u guys NOTHING smart move in my opinion. Mike tice used to give away strategy during press conferences….that worked out well

Even if all the parts worked, Reid would screw it up
at some critical point as he is the worst game manager
around.

Yeah? They weren’t able to sign Doug Free, and they wanted him. Wanted Rob Ryan, too. The truth is of all the shiny little toys the Eagles signed, that’s probably the only two that would have made an improvement.

But yes, cap champs once again. Everybody’s a genius for the 13th season in a row. Congrats. Now all they need is someone to manage personnel like they halfway know what they’re doing and they might be in business.

steve smith sucks… he played with plax and a dominate running game that helped him find a seam to catch the ball then he would get tackled.. thats all he did with the giants… overrated as hell and i knew he wouldnt add anything to the eagles.. i dont know why anyone think the guy is a difference maker

Here is why Steve Smith is being used: The Eagles don’t use 4 wide receiver sets very often. They are much more content to go 3 wide outs with Celek in at TE to provide support for the OL. Reid and Vick clearly like Avant more than Smith. Whether they admit it or not, Smith was picked up as insurance in case Maclin couldn’t play this year or Jackson was causing problems. Brown doesn’t play because he is washed up. Furthermore, McCoy is one of the beset RB’s in the league and Lewis flashes way more potential at this point. The rest of the FA’s see significant time and have played well. Everybody knows Asante will be out the door in the off season and that is fine.
