Bills Pro Bowler Kyle Williams’ season could be in doubt

Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams is the best player most fans have never heard of.

He made the Pro Bowl and second-team All Pro last year and is easily the best player on the Bills defense. According to Tim Graham of the Buffalo News, Williams may not play again this season.

“Bills DT Kyle Williams talking of his vague foot injury sounded ominous. That plus info I’ve heard suggests return for 2011 in serious doubt,” Graham wrote.

Williams has been out with a foot injury for three weeks.  He spoke this week about it:

“Hopefully I can come back later in the year and help our team,” Williams said.

Yikes. I believe Buffalo’s offense is good enough to carry the team to a playoff berth, but it’s not going to be easy.  The Bills defense ranks 23rd in points allowed this year and struggle to rush the passer.

/SIGH… at least as a Bills fan, I’m used to getting excited and then having it all ripped away from me. This guy is a HUGE deal for us. One of our top 3 players easy.. Just another year in Buffalo. I hope I’m wrong, I know a team isn’t just one player, but this guy is so good, its going to be that much harder for us to make the play offs without him. Right now Tom Brady is doing back flips of joy.

If Troupe can stay healthy it should be OK. He’s an up and comer.

Think about it, the Bills cant stop any body WITH him – Can they really get any worse without him?

Hes been hurting and ineffective all year. What has he done this year?

I had to read that five teams to try and figure out why a professional bowler would have been signed by the Bills in the first place.

    Too early in the morning.

i see your point, but they have been doing something right sitting at 5-2. So yes, yes they can do much worse. dolphins, and jets.

Out for 3 weeks? They have won games w/o him, right? They’ll be fine. And when Williams comes back, this or next year, they’ll be even better.
