Saints running back Mark Ingram missed practice today and is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Rams.

The Saints haven’t ruled Ingram out, but Mike Triplett of the Times-Picayune reports that Ingram appears unlikely to play Sunday against the Rams.

Ingram, who is battling a heel injury, had his best game yet on Sunday against the Colts, with 14 carries for 91 yards. Ingram is the Saints’ leading rusher with 85 carries for 329 yards and three touchdowns.

Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma missed practice today with a knee injury but is expected to play Sunday.
