Fail. It means that there is a 50/50 chance of winning. You are probably the same person that will bet on red because there’s no way black can hit five times in a row.

Pats fans never cease to amaze me. They like to talk about “most” of our teams being roided up until it became against the rules but choose to ignore the fact that 1) only a couple of our offensive linemen said they took steroids and 2) every team–including the Pats–was roided up until it became against the rules. It’s called an even playing field.

I’ve already got the part about the memo. People that don’t get it aren’t going to get it anymore than people are going to acknowledge that all teams were using steroids during that era. In the Pats’ case, there probably are misunderstandings because that whole thing was so convoluted. But people know the Steelers weren’t the only team taking steroids. But just as you did in your post, they pretend otherwise.

Hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

Unfortunately that last opponent is going to keep showing up wherever they play.

They nix a few of my posts here and there. I just move on. Trying to divine the rhyme or reason behind it will only destroy your mind. Keep sharing your insights.

Actually Goodell’s memo was not an establishment of a new rule but a reminder of an existing rule that had been around for years. I believe it was directed at at least one team that shall remain nameless… and that team ignored the reminder just like they had been ignoring the existing rule, which forced action.

The same way that a lot of people consider HGH to be cheating right now, even if it isn’t illegal (yet). I don’t need the rules to catch up with what I know is wrong to not consider it cheating, because I’m not going to hide behind a technicality. Does the spirit of fair competition mean nothing to you? If not I guess you never competed in anything athletically.

Well, I have what fun I’m allowed, but for months the Gestapo have censored any attempt on my part to joke, demonstrate football knowledge, or comment on my own team unless I resubmit 20 times, complain incessantly to NBC, or manage to sneak in something when a respectful, professional adult moderator is on duty. So I imagine taking verbal swipes at people’s testes would be verbotten for me. But I’ll try my best God bless the U.S.A.!

Read up on your NFL history before you start that Steelers-’n-Steroids bit again? It’s been well established that steroids were in common use by every team from the late 1960s until they were banned by the NFL in the late 1980s. And since they were used by players on every team, it was an even playing field.

Yeah, doofus asked for it with his “6 rings, no cheating” remark. But since I always post that the Pats didn’t get their championships from a video camera, it wouldn’t hurt you guys to take the high road, too.

The Steelers Super Bowl roid wins preceded the 1980 ban and the Pats’ Super Bowl camera wins preceded Goodell’s memo. There is no question of legitimacy in either case.

I encourage you as well to exit the high road and to admonish with a hefty kick to the testes any unprovoked Pats’ fan who would be so foolish as to attempt to besmirch the Steeler victories by bringing up roids.

As for the age of the Pats’ defense, you’re 0 for 2. Other than a couple veterans on the D-Line, they have one of the youngest defenses in the NFL.
