The Cardinals are the new Lions on the road

Ken Whisenhunt AP

Arizona has a long way to go to match Detroit’s record-setting 26-game road losing streak, but they could be halfway home pretty soon.

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic notes that the Cardinals have lost ten straight on the road since winning the season opener in St. Louis last year.

The Cardinals next three road games: At Baltimore, Philadelphia, and San Francisco.  Yeah, we don’t see them winning any of those games. That would run the streak to 13.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt is superstitious and has tried to vary his routine.

“I have tried everything,” Whisenhunt said. “Hopefully, this week it will work. We’re going to get back in one [a routine] here soon that works.”

A streak like this is a reminder that the Cardinals have been among the worst teams in football for a year and a half now. They are 3-14 in their last 17 games.

It’s almost like the Kurt Warner era never happened, and the Cardinals are right back to being the Cardinals.

This is the worst Cardinal defense since McGinnis last season.

On the bright side, they play at St. Louis later this year

Not only are they bad, but they are also the third-oldest roster in the NFL.

They need a serious reload of talent, especially on the offensive line and at both outside LB positions, before they can approach being decent again.

That’s what happens when you pay Kevin Kolb starter money and you expect his method of just throwing it towards Fitzgerald to work every play haha.

If this doesn’t get Warner into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot . . .

But Kurt Warner didn’t play defense. I guess quarterbacks are important to the WHOLE team.

Whiz’s job should be on the line after this year.

That’s one hell of a stretch to compare a 13 game losing streak with a 26 game losing streak.

That’s 2 more years of straight losses on the road….get real

    stupid article

let’s compare Fitzpatrick to Peyton Manning….he has more TD’s this year than Manning and is crushing him in almost every stat.

Let me guess, Wishenhunt is going to “need one of our guys to step up and make a play”….right?
