I don’t understand how anyone can be considered a bust because they don’t play out their contract before getting traded or waived. This team is consistently at the top of the NFL every year. It’s not due to one person or coach. Whoever they draft, they are always in the Superbowl conversation at the beginning and the end of every season. You think Belichick can’t pick secondary players? He maintains a balanced roster which includes the highest player in the league. I think he does a pretty damn good job of drafting players. I don’t see any of them as busts. They all have contributed in some fashion. Look at the wins and losses. Granted, they haven’t won a superbowl since 2004 but every year 31 teams are losers. To play consistently at the top and compete every year is pretty damn impressive to me.

Dowling: 6 games into his rookie yr, IR. Jury is way out.

McCourty: AFC def rookie of yr, Pro-Bowl,All-Pro

Chung: By most accounts, outstanding young player.

Meriweather: maybe he didn’t deserve 2 Pro- Bowls, but got 4 decent yrs out of him.

Other 2, busts. What do you expect, 6 Pro Bowlers? It’s the draft. Only 2 of those were mid- late 1rst round picks, the rest 2nd. Pats draft record stacks up favorably with most other teams. So does their roster. That’s why they went 11-5 when Brady went down. Look at the Colts.

He’s killing the Franchise by going 14-2 last year and being 5-1 this year all alone with the best record in the AFC? Your logic isn’t sound.

Don’t forget that Troy Brown played corner in 2004 at times. They didn’t exactly have a great secondary that year but they won.

Only one team can with the Super Bowl. No team in history has gone on much of a better run than the Patriots over the last 10 years. You’re right we could have won 6 (or at least 5) Super Bowls, but by that logic we could also have zero Super Bowls.
The 3 Super Bowls weren’t exactly guaranteed victories.
The teams talent is not an issue and Belichick has done a great job.

GBay defense is no bargain either, yet everyone is ready to hand them another Lombardi trophy. They’re 31rst in passing D, 27th in total D. 10-6 wildcard team that made playoffs on the last day of the season last year. Let’s see what happens. Tough to repeat.

For all the people making comments about how the patriots suck and have no D etc… How is your team doing?? Unless you are a Packers or 49ers fan, shut your mouth because the patriots have a better record than your team. And last I checked records are what get teams into the playoffs.

id be more than happy to have Leigh Bodden back in Cleveland. him and Haden would make great set of cornerbacks come on Holmgren go get another veteran since you cant get us a a receiver at least get some more defense that we need to keep other offenses off the field

Wow the Patriots have somehow placed a mole on the NFL staff which controls that radio communication, the equipment, the frequencies, etc? Or so you think they just TRUST each team to cut off the communication to the QB with 15 sec left on the playclock?

Besides if they did hack in, you should be thrilled because there’s no other QB out there who makes more plays when he doesn’t do what he’s told than Ben. People like you and that foozie guy and 3octave etc who keep harping on this type of stuff (especially stuff that never even happened ) give your fanbase a bad name.

They also cut Butler few weeks ago. He’s not a fine starter on D for Carolina. Can’t really understand what’s going on in their heads? Did they make eye contact with Tom Brady in the hallway? A big no no in Foxboro

think of it this way. the buffalo bills, the BUFFALO BILLS! lit up the new england secondary. far be it from me as a bills fan to talk sxxt but if they had trouble with buffalo i think there are some major chinks in that defences armour.
