Where are all the Jaguar fans all of a sudden? You guys were so confident….What hurt the most? The loss, the 2 picks, the fact that your defense looked as good as it will all season? Or was it the fact that Knighton came out talkin mess and then performed at an NCAA level?

yes the oilers moved because of bud adams need for a new stadium in 1997.. just after millions of tax dollars went into renovating the astrodome, yes it happened, it wasnt the fans fault. then just after 5 years, Houston had a brand new NFL franchise with a brand new state of the art stadium.. if Jacksonville loses the Jags, thats it for football in Jacksonville.. Houston is a large metropolitan with 6 million people and counting. the fans have rewarded the owner by making them the 9th most valuable sports franchise in the world, yes the world (NFL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR, Premier League Soccer..) 5th most valuable in the NFL.. where do the jags stack up in that equation, try 32nd… in the NFL team, yup dead last.. lmao

if it wasnt for a couple of offensive woes you guys might not have scored, offense couldnt move the ball at all on the Texans improved D, thats is missing Mario Williams..

No, you are funny. Last time I checked there’s a team in Tennessee called the Titans that used to be in Houston that was called the Oilers. Sounds like you had a problem keeping your big market team in town. Think before you write.

We didn’t have a problem at all. Bud wanted a new stadium just after forcing the city of Houston to spend 50 million on the Astrodome improvements. The city said no. So he moved the team. Do a little research before you talk about something you know nothing about. You guys can’t even sell out your own stadium. Let’s see if you talk smack after the Jags get their *ss handed to them today.

To be fair, yes the Oilers left town for Ten, but that was more of an owner fighting with the city over a new stadium. Not b/c the games werent being attended. In the end though, they left, and Houston hasnt seen playoff football since the mid 90′s. Ouch.

to criticize the texans for not having HOF’ers is a little ridiculous. a HOF career is usually 12 years or longer. add five years for eligibility and you have 17 years from draft. they came into the league in 2002 which means even if they drafted a HOF’er in their first year he wouldn’t be eligibile until 2019.

I can’t really think of an occasion that the Texans have behaved arrogantly or talked excessive crap before a game. I’m sure they have, but they’ve never been characterized as an arrogant franchise.

If you were informed, you would know that after the panthers and jags came into existance and had such success early in their franchises early history the nfl changed the way expansion teams formed and made it harder to get started for the browns and then the texans so be more informed before you begin to let vomit run from your mouth.

where’s all this hostility coming from? The Texans don’t talk trash, or beat on their chests screaming, “Look at us! We’re the greatest!” Maybe Pot Roast is just a little jealous…win or lose, every Texans game has been sold out since 2002. The Jag’s can’t fill their stadium even after they made the play-off’s. Their own city could care less if the Jag’s stay or go. Plus, Arian Foster ran all over the “run-stopping” Pork Belly and the rest of the Jag’s last year.

The Texans have a 7 point win at home against the steelers and convincing victories over the Colts and Dolphins – good job. Got beat by Oakland at home. Have they started printing the “first playoff tickets ever” yet in Houston?

@dabkg – why don’t you compare the Texans first 10 years as a franchise to the Jags first 10 years:

Jags – 2 AFC championship games, Playoffs 96-99. Playoff appearances in 05, 07. Win in Pitt in the playoffs. Oh wait that was the first 12 years, no fair.

The NFC North has their own team that seems to feel they should be listed with the elite teams historically in the NFL and their insolent fans and flagship radio station announcers promote the team as if they are elite when in fact their record clearly illustrates that they should be portrayed as the symbol of abject failure. Arrogant? By what definition? Their best player is the quietest superstar in the NFL, coach is vanilla as they come, and they havent won a meaningfiul game in 10 years as a franchise. Knighton can play, no doubt, and the Jags have a solid D, but thats not the problem. Problem is Jags have a rookie QB going on the road against a top 10 defense. There is a damn good reason Vegas has Houston winning by 9.5 Good luck Pot Roast.

If you don’t like the Texans O, stop them. You haven’t yet, ever as best I can recall. At least maybe this year you can hold them to 20. Of course, it will still likley lead to an L for you and your anemic offense.
