The Houston Texans have never been to the playoffs, but that’s about nine weeks from changing.

With today’s 24-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Texans remain in first place in their division, and they’ve now beaten all three of their AFC South opponents head-to-head. It’s highly likely that a first-round playoff game will be played in Houston this postseason.

Although the Texans are still without their best receiver, Andre Johnson, quarterback Matt Schaub had an efficient passing day, and Arian Foster had another 100-yard game on the ground.

The Texans don’t look like a great team, but they look like they’re far and away the best team in the AFC South. To host a playoff game, that’s all they’ll need to be. The Texans franchise is in the best shape it’s ever been in.
