I so tired of hearing that the niners only have their winning record because they are in a bad division. They are 6-1 and have played one division game. What the hell bearing is that record on quality of opponents in the division? Haters need to lay off the retard juice!

So the bengals at 5-2 and the browns with one of the best defenses aren’t good teams now? And yup watch them beat the giants and ravens than finally haters can go shut up somewhere. Lions are def overrated. Haven’t beat anyone. Can’t wait till packers put the lions in their place. Just like the niners did in Detroit! That crowd ain’t gonna be much help I’m sf.

Yea I would love to see round 2 with the Lions. In San Francisco, with the 49ers same defense, without the noise from Ford Field, no 120 yards of penalties, and praying that the Lions don’t choke until then. Suh has got about 3 months before he gets destroyed again. After that 49er-Lions game, Suh is overhyped!

Ok, I’m a seahawk fan, and this ‘get a qb’ talk is just nonsense. The 9r’s are winning with one of the worst QB’s from last year.

A lot of this comes down to coaching, and ours is sorely lacking at the moment.

Good story for the 49ers. Let’s just wait before crowning them…they have had a very easy schedule handed to them, facing the Seahawks, Browns, Bucs, and Bengals. Good wins against Philly and the Lions. STill gotta face the Giants, Steelers, and Ravens. Plus going to Washington isn’t exactly a gimme either. And the Rams hopefully have woken up so those games won’t be easy.

Rams had to face Philly, New York, Baltimore, Washington, Green Bay, Dallas, and New Orleans all in a row…

Great point marcsasharc, while Smith actually has played pretty good this year, and has a solid qb rating above 90, they really haven’t had to rely on him only to win games. Their defense can shut down anyone and Gore is having a career year. Most of the other teams you listed have super star or star quarterbacks, and I think we can all agree that Smith is not a star. While they most definitly would be worse off without him, Kaep could probably manage enough games to still put them in the playoffs because of how great the rest of the team is.

I’m getting really tired of people pointing to how weak our division is to explain the 49ers record. They have only played 1 divisional game so far. On top of that 3 out of 6 wins have been on the road. We still have home games against Stl and Arz we are likely to win…coin toss the rest and we are at 11-5 or 12-4.

I think that is funny that for one, I do not know what team you are a fan of (most likely a SEACHICKEN fan or LIONS fan) or you think our 6-1 record is a fluke. Do you realize that the 9ers are 3-0 on the road (all Eastern games) and have only played 1 division game? And in this “sucky” division, teams from this division have beaten other “good teams” in the playoffs the past few years. Keep hating, go 9ers!

How are they not as good as everybody thinks? Frank Gore has 4 100 yard rushing games in a row and ranks 5th in the league for rush yards. Big come from behind wins against some of the stronger teams in the NFC. The #1 run defense in the NFL. 22 sacks and 9 interceptions. A rookie who has 7 sacks and will probably be the defensive rookie of the year. Oh and btw they have only played one division game so far. Go find another team to hate on!
