LaMarr Woodley isn’t worried about his hamstring

The Steelers defense got the job done Sunday afternoon and a big reason why was the play of linebacker LaMarr Woodley.

Woodley continued his recent tear with two sacks of Tom Brady, his third straight game with two sacks. He has 7.5 sacks in the last four weeks, which made his departure with a hamstring injury in the second half a dark cloud in an otherwise bright sky for the Steelers. With a massive game looming against the Ravens on Sunday night, Woodley’s status is going to be closely followed.

Per a report in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Woodley isn’t overly concerned.

“I’ll be in there,” Woodley said. “I have a week (to heal).”

Having Woodley in the lineup would be nice for the Steelers. Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (who doesn’t think Woodley will play, incidentally) reports that James Farrior will miss a month with his calf injury. Bouchette also reports that there’s a chance James Harrison could make his return to the lineup if an examination goes well this week.
