Ridiculous as this sounds, that was the quietest 4 sack game ever. Three out of the four times Ware got a sack, the Eagles came right back with a big play to nullify it. Just check the game tracker:

1st and 10 sack, followed by a 24 yard completion on 2nd and 12

1st and 10 sack, followed by a 24 yard completion on 3rd and 11

1st and 10 sack with a forced fumble, followed by a 22 yard run on 2nd and 18

3rd and 1 sack, punt on 4th and 13

Sacks are highly coveted because they are usually drive killers, but by no fault of his own the Cowboys were not able to capitalize. The game was already well out of hand by the time he got his fourth.

I feel sorry for Buddy Ryan's wife who had to raise Rex and Rob along with Buddy. That must have been one wild household.

Notice how Rob constantly refers to himself? It's nice that he owned up to his trash talking, but he needs to know his place on the team. He's not the head coach, but only an assistant. He ought to be referring to the team and not himself.

Not a Cowboys fan, and sure Ryan got exposed. But you won't win many games in this league when you score 7 points. Unless the Cowboys win the division, Jason Garrett's Black Monday exit is the safest bet in football right now.

Joetoronto probably another vick hater. God forbid somebody make a horrible mistake; do the time (unlike many other guys in this league who get a free pass) and actually try to better himself.

Attention all teams; the Eagles are playing man coverage. What does this mean for you? Good luck throwing the ball...your team just became one dimensional and if you fall behind early; game over. How scary must it have been for Romo to look at the defense and see Nnamdi, DRC and Asante? Dez, Miles and Jason looked to be below average and we know that isn't true.

Hey Joe, be as bitter as you want but just know that the Eagles will win the NFC East then carve up teams in the playoffs.

I am a Falcons fan and after what i saw last night the Packers are THE ONLY team with a chance to beat the Eagles when they play like that. Cudos to them for getting it together. Should be fun to watch.

This game was exactly what we have come to expect from these 2 teams. The entire NFC East is so inconsistant right now its amazing. The Cowboys show up one week, they dont the next. Same with the Eagles. The Giants had to make a comeback to beat the Dolphins, AT HOME. Only the Redskins have become consistant. Consistantly bad, and a lot of that has to do with injuries that they couldnt afford. Not everyone is the Packers who can lose half a defense and win the Super Bowl. Giants win the NFC East by default. Call it a competitive division because everyones so inconsistant that any team can win or lose in crazy ways week to week.

I don't understand why the Cowboys are allowing Rob Ryan to spout off like that, the Cowboys don't need any more distractions.

I do think his vocal persona is going to affect his ability to get any head coaching gig. Of course, all that could change if his brother Rex, another vocal guy, some how manages to win a Super Bowl.

Still, I think it is far more likely for Rex to lose his head coaching job long before Rob ever gets one.

I'm enjoying this beatdown as much as any Eagles fan, but Dallas had the top ranked run D in the league until last night, and their front 7 was pretty dominating. Ryan even got their crappy secondary, which he largely inherited, to look respectable.

So is he that bad, or are the Eagles that good? I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

======================

He audibled on a 3rd and 9, identified Dallas’ Sean Lee as a blitzer, called the perfect play (bubble screen to Jeremy Maclin). He is a REAL QB.

FAIL

If that makes a "real NFL QB" in your book, so be it, not in mine.

You wanna know how I know that you're an Eagles fan? Because you don't know the difference between "no" and "know".

"howley1 says It was a fluke game. Dallas was the best run defense In the entire NFL. That means they were the best at stopping the run out of all the teams In the NFL and Mcoy ran through them like they were swiss cheese yea a fluke."

Well which is it? Are they the best in the NFL at stopping the run or are they swiss cheese?

You wanna know how I know that you’re an Eagles fan? Because you don’t know the difference between “no” and “know”.

“howley1 says It was a fluke game. Dallas was the best run defense In the entire NFL. That means they were the best at stopping the run out of all the teams In the NFL and Mcoy ran through them like they were swiss cheese yea a fluke.”

Well which is it? Are they the best in the NFL at stopping the run or are they swiss cheese?

Not quite a fluke. 2nd game in a row the Eagles shut down a team that had been running the ball well.

--------------------------------------------------

Yeah, fluke. It happens to all teams sometimes (like last year's Eagles vs. the Titans, Saints v. Rams yesterday, I could list games all day but I won't). Cowboys couldn't keep running the ball after they fell behind so fast... Murray averaged over 9 yards per carry, mostly in the first half. Cowboys were flat, Eagles were on, end of story.

At least Rex can coach. Rob gets jobs just because of his family name and lineage instead of real world results.

Couldnt agree more. Rob has never done anything in this league. He sucked in Oakland, was average in Cleveland.

If his name wasnt Ryan, he would have been out of the league long ago.

Its so fricking funny, how Andys team blows out a boys team that just plain showed up flat, and now their back? Back from what?? Getting their butts handed to them last year in the playoffs by the Packers?? Back from the GREAT start they had?? little mike is one more concussion away from the beagles season being 6-10 at best. You people are nuts. Rob was out coached he says, in reality he ain't that good. Dallas played way below their capability Sunday. That's the plain and simple fact. Giants win this division. Beagles watch the playoffs this January. If I was a Philly fan that's better than getting it handed to you in the playoffs AGAIN.

I would like to see Rob Ryan and Andy Reid square off in a hot dog (or ice cream, twinkies, or McRibs) eating contest.

Throw in Rex Ryan, Mike Holmgren and Wade Phillips while we are at it and broadcast it on Super Bowl Sunday. Hell-the networks have 6 hours of pre kickoff TV time to fill anyway! The NFL donate's $50K to the American Heart Association in the winner's name.

In case one of the above's team makes the Super Bowl we can have Romeo Crennel has an alternate. The best thing about that choice is that he has a Masters degree in - wait for it - PHYSICAL EDUCATION!!!
