Taken in round three by the Pittsburgh Steelers? Mike Wallace.

I don’t think Mike Wallace would be much help since Colt doesn’t throw the ball farther than 5 yards.

This Browns fan is curious to find out who our next QB will be. Then our next head coach…..then are next prez…..then repeat the cycle.

Robiskie was not a bad pick by Cleveland just as Anthony Gonzalas wasn’t for the Colts. Who were they to know Ohio State recievers were only good when they were beating Jr. colleges by 78 points.

Normally I would agree with the Steelers fans in their comment regarding it’s the Browns but under McCoy every reciever on that team has had a chance to break out. I saw the Browns live this year when they came to Indianapolis and the one noticable thing was that Robiskie was NEVER open. The waterboys could cover the guy. When you’re on a team where your running backs, your second string QB and Chansi Stuckey were getting more catches then you. It’s not the team.

Clay Matthews was a first round pick. How were the Browns suppose to get him in the second?

Nonetheless this might be the worst 2nd round set of picks EVER! 3 picks and massaquio is the best by far?? Ugh. Robiske cut. Veikune cut after one year. Never made. Play and out of the league. What a joke Mangini’s 2009 draft was. That has set the team back another 3 years.

He’s a bust, but it’s not like the pick was a reach at the time. He was a 2nd rounder, and many 1st rounders are complete busts. As far as the later draft picks that become steals, I’m not so sure it is because of the skill of the ones drafting as much as luck sometimes. Unless guys are a big reach or drop unexpectedly, there is a reason guys get drafted where they do. In other words, he’s a bust but I don’t think I would blame Mangini for making a terrible pick or anything. He picked him, and he didn’t pan out. Did Tony Dungy screw up because he wasted a 1st on Anthony Gonzalez?

I am a hardcore browns fan and I can not believe all of the people that wants this guy on their team. TRUST ME, IF YOU GET CUT BY THE CLEVELAND BROWNS, you must be beyond terrible. This is the worst offense I’ve seen in 25 years. Wow is the receiving market that bad that cut wide receivers from the Browns look appealing? LMAO… wow seriously people?

I think he might end up a Phin. They only have 3 healthy WR’s and one WR on practice squad. Phins are #1 or #2 on the waiver wire. AND, Brian Daboll used to be Robiskie’s o-coordinator in Cleveland last year.

Sad thing about the 2009 draft. The Browns take Brian Robiskie in the 2nd round 36th overall and then Mohamed Massaquoi 50th overall and then two picks later there is LeSean McCoy going to Phillly!

Another screw up by Mangini coming back to haunt the Browns. When you watch a real football team like the Packers and see Clay Matthews Jr. all over the field it’s a damn shame to think the son of a great Browns player could have played where his dad did.
Mangini using the 36th pick on this bust Robiskie it makes it difficult to think that Mangini was a head coach, and he still is getting paid by them is a complete joke. Now if the Browns smarten up and dump the other Mangini mistake- Mo mASS another complete bust.
McCoy will never develop with the lack of talent that they have surrounded him with.

wish the kid luck. i was happy we drafted him and was always hopeful when he would have a game where he’d make a good catch but honestly he just wasn’t getting it done at all.

Wallace would have been a bust too if he went to Cleveland. Wallace is an excellent receiver, no doubt (I’d only take Calvin and Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald before him) but we have to remember that Roethlisberger has been one of the better passers in the league for the last three years.

It may be too last for Robiskie, but I could see him turning in a solid, not great, career if he lands with the right team.

Robiskie could be a fine possession receiver for a team with a smart QB and more physically gifted (ie: faster) outside WRs to draw coverage. As one of a muddled pool of slow WRs in Cleveland, coupled with a banged-up line and inexperienced QB, though, he’s been unimpressive. He and Massaquoi are pretty much the same player, and Massaquoi has more of a rapport with McCoy, making Robiskie expendable.

I wish him good luck wherever he lands, though. I’m confident he’ll catch on somewhere, and have a respectable NFL career. Cleveland can’t move the ball with slow-ish receivers given the current disarray on the line (they can’t hold blocks long enough to give WRs with only average speed a chance to get open).

Robiskie is “game ready” and from what I recall Wallace was “raw”. Just shows you how little scouts know more then you and I.
