As an Iggles fan...

I hope the Eagles get the opportunity to travel out to San Fanthithco (the lisp...can't say that without the lithp) ... in the play-offs.

That is up to the Eagles at this point...the 9ers can sleep-walk to at least the 3rd seed at this point...

Eagles have learned from their mistakes...

Frankie and his "quit" comments will make that game fun! (think 1st half...for the whole game)

Go Eagles!

p.s....Keep the Iggles in the low teens...I couldn't care less.

I like how Eagles fans expect everyone to just pretend that all their losses didn't happen because they crushed the Cowboys.

Don't get me wrong, the Eagles have clearly improved. But regardless of how good the Eagles have actually been, Andy Reid has always crushed teams coming off a bye.

I'm not saying they deserve to be last, and if they were a little higher I don't think any reasonable person would complain, but after giving up leads and having inconsistent defensive play I don't know if you can justify a bunch of complaining because they are barely in the top 20.

These rankings are pathetic this week. Worse than ever.

Add me to the Eagles' complainer list. 19 is a ridiculous ranking after what they just did in the past two weeks. There was no Tony Romo meltdown...just an ass whooping in all three phases.

The Chargers, Bucs and Raiders are all in meltdown. Look at the reason the Eagles lost games...defense (wide 9 apparently fixed by tightening on running downs), offensive line (apparently much improved) and turnovers (obviously much improved). Tell me they can't beat anyone but the Packers...maybe Pats and Steelers right now.

The Giants at #6? ROTFL. They almost ended the Dolphins' Suck for Luck dream.

Ive never read so many posts about football from people who clearly dont understand anything about football. Every negative post on SF is simply because of Alex Smith. I don't need to say anything about how he is playing because plenty of people have already done that. What I don't understand is, when did a 53 man football team become a team that's success is only based on 1 player? The majority of these posts must be coming from people who are blind, deaf, and ... Clearly they don't see all the other players running around on the field in the same color uniforms, they dont hear the announcers constantly talking about players that aren't the QB, and they have no concept of what a team sport is

As a big time 49er fan, I am willing to bet its mostly Steelers and Raven fans hating, right now.
Here is what I surmise. Other Niner fans are saying that Baltimore is 'probably' a better team. Could be, but they have an awful lot ofwork to do. 16 yards of total offense in the first half versus Jax? Not scary. Flacco is struggling, and Bmore relies too much on Ray Rice. Rice is the bomb, bit we all know the 49ers stigma is their dominance against the run game. Pittsburgh, on the other hand, is playing great ball. The receiving corps of the black and yellow is very dangerous, and Roethlisberger isn't getting sacked 6 times a game. Still, that game is at Candlestick. I honestly believe the Niners will put up a great fight, and have as good a chance winning both of these games as anybody.

And one more thing, the 49ers have busted ass to get to the top, and by excusing them as a fluke is only gonna get you in trouble. They will work harder to keep their spot at number two....number one if Green Bay drops a game or two.

You do know Oak had 11 in the injury report and had DMC and Girdano go down in the first quarter?w,

BTW, Campbell’s career rating…..82.8
----------------

btw, you know the Chiefs were without their Best offensive and defensive players, as well as their only functional TE...right?

no excuses. ask the Giants that manage to win despite a ton of injuries. Chiefs are better than the Raiders w/o Charles and Berry. Palmer is a chump. He was ok w/ GOOD receivers. how is he going to be with Heyward-i love to drop the ball-bey, and Jacoby Ford? Getting rid of Zach Miller was classic Raiders stupidity...let alone the stupidity of giving up a 1st and 2nd round pick for a QB that has the same QB rating as Campbell...

Drew Brees: PR 100.6, 2746 yds, 19 TDs
Alex Smith: PR 95.7, 1267 yds , 9 TDs

Not a Saints fan, but if I had to pick one of these QBs to get me through the postseason it’d be Brees. Could SF win it all? Sure. Is it likely? No, because the SF passing game isn’t up to top tier snuff and your top rated D will still be challenged against passers like Brees and Rodgers.

-------------------------------------------------
I would rather have Alex Smith leading a more complete team then Drew Brees leading a Saints team with glaring defensive weaknesses. Lets not forget the Saints (11-5) loss to the Seachickens (7-9) in last years playoffs

Wish we were playing you guys at Heinz. Have always thought Arrowhead was one of the toughest places to travel. Your crowds are awesome. The noise last night reminded me of the great days of Derrick Thomas. As a Bama fan, I had a soft spot for KC back then. Of course, the Steelers come first, but glad to see Javier Arenas working out so well with the Chiefs.

Of course, the Steelers come first, but glad to see Javier Arenas working out so well with the Chiefs.

Yes, the Broncos have won 2 games, but I think they are the worst team in the league. The 2 games they won were sheer luck. As a fan it pains me to say it, but I don't see us winning another game all year. Tebow is taking the blame just like Orton did, but fact of the matter is the Broncos O-line sucks. Until he gets a line that can/will block for him we'll never see what eh can really do. That said, the whole team is a train wreck. They can't run or pass, and they also can STOP the run or the pass. It's definitely going to be a LONG rebuilding process.

Chiefs laid a 28-0 beatdown AT oakland, then beat SD and are FIVE spots behind Oakland? I’ve not news for you…Raiders are done w/ Palmer. Campbell was actually a good fit for that system…Carson Palmer and his 82 passer rating the last 3 years isn’t gonna make them better, only worse.

You do know Oak had 11 in the injury report and had DMC and Girdano go down in the first quarter?

BTW, Campbell's career rating.....
82.8

"Coming into this season, I thought the Steelers had a relatively easy stretch after Baltimore, playing Cincy twice, KC, and San Francisco. Suddenly that stretch has gotten a lot more formidable–especially with KC having one of the all-time great home venues in football. This is going to be interesting."

We thought Our Chiefs were going to have 2 easy wins at Detroit and Buffalo in week 1 and 2. Both are good but the Lions loss would've been at least a reasonable loss has Charles not been lost for the season. I think the whole team went "well, we're effed" after losing Berry the previous week, then Charles in the 1st quarter.

Pitt at arrowhead should be awesome. Our DB's are coming out and your WR's are fast.

For all you 49ers haters, read this, courtesy of CSNBayarea:

--The 49ers are the first team in 91 years to have a rushing touchdown in each of the first seven games while not allowing a rushing touchdown. As some of you might remember, the Buffalo All-Americans accomplished the same thing in 1920 against a schedule of non-league teams. The McKeesport Olympics, Toledo Maroons and Rochester Jeffersons were some of the opponents on Buffalo's schedule that season.

--Frank Gore joins Larry Johnson, O.J. Simpson and Terrell Davis as the only players since 1970 to gain at least 125 yards and one touchdown rushing in four consecutive games. Johnson (2005) and Simpson (1975) made it five games.

--With a record of 6-1, the 49ers have tied the best start through seven games for a team that lost at least 10 games the previous season.

And here are some statistics in which the 49ers rank among the tops in the NFL this season:

--The 49ers lead the league in defensive points allowed at 15.3 points a game.

--Alex Smith and the 49ers are the best team in the NFL with an interception percentage of 1.1 percent. (That's 1.1 interceptions for every 100 passes attempted.)

--Punter Andy Lee and the coverage unit rank No. 1 with a net average of 44.2 yards.

--The 49ers lead the league in run defense, allowing just 73.4 yards rushing a game.

--The 49ers own the best red-zone defense. They've allowed the opposition to score touchdowns on just 6 of 19 (31.6 percent) trips inside the 49ers' 20-yard line.

--Aldon Smith leads all rookies with 6.5 sacks. (He ranks seventh in the league among all players.)

--Running back Frank Gore is one of four running backs with four or more opportunities to convert every third-and-1 running play.

--The 49ers rank second in the NFL with a plus-10 turnover margin.

--The 49ers' return unit rank second in the league with an average starting point of the 25.4 yard line after kickoffs.

--Alex Smith is third in the NFL with a fourth-quarter passer rating of 104.9.

--Ted Ginn ranks third in the NFL with a 29.8 average on kickoffs.

--Cornerback Carlos Rogers is tied for third in the NFL with three interceptions.

--Linebacker Patrick Willis is tied for fourth in the league with two fumble recoveries.

--Gore is fifth in the NFL with 675 yards rushing.

This is comical. I realize win/loss % is what matters in the end, but what is the point of power rankings if you are going to go by only wins and losses. The Eagles at 19? They have outgained their opponent in every game and blew out the cowgirls, who are ranked only 1 lower? 49ers at 2 who we threw away the game to? They barely beat the Browns! Patriots at 4 when they have struggled the whole season? I can't wait to Philly takes it to them next month!

You must not watch too many 49ers games. They have probably the best 3-4 D-Line in football, they have Willis and Bowman(who is playing so well that it's like having 2 of Willis), Carlos Rogers who is playing like a pro bowler, and pass rushers who will get to the quarterback.

Also they have the top ranked rush D and one of the top rushing offenses in the league. Don't see where this leads to Pittsburgh "killing" them at San Francisco.
