Getty ImagesGiants running back Ahmad Bradshaw left Sunday’s game with a foot injury, and today’s news about that injury is not good.
Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger reports that Bradshaw suffered a cracked bone in his foot and is out indefinitely.
At the moment, Bradshaw is not sure whether he will need surgery. He has previously had surgery to insert screws in both feet, and on Sunday the Giants’ medical staff apparently thought it was one of the screws that was bothering Bradshaw. It was only later that they realized he had a broken bone.
Bradshaw is the Giants’ leading rusher, with 111 carries for 440 yards and five touchdowns this season. Brandon Jacobs, who has been largely disappointing with a 3.0-yard average and two touchdowns this year, will carry a heavy load while Bradshaw is out.

Instead of riding a dead-legged back who has no intention of returning to the team next year, why not give Ware or Scott a shot?
Cowboys rule
Hope my guy Andre Brown is activated from the practice squad!
It’s all good, Giants fans – Your backup has a fast-ass car.
Eagles win division for sure now
Bradshaw has to most brittle feet in all of humanity; not just in the game of football. Time for Jacobs to back up his talk.
The Giants have gone from having a competitor as their starting RB to a slow ass bum who likes fast ass cars.
this is gonna be so much fun to watch….
The only thing worse than this is the Giants giving the brunt of the workload to Brandon Jacobs now…
oh wait….
Ughhh, that’s awful. Da’Rel Scott time… looking more and more like 2007 all over again, where D. Ward was ultimately replaced by, ironically, Bradshaw.
The 49ers love big backs, see what they did to Blunt? I can’t wait until these guys come to the Stick. The 9ers are going to hook the Eagles up over the next 2 weeks, as much as it pains me.
It’s funny Eagles fans think they’re gonna win the division now. You guys never seen the Giants backup running back Scott, he’s a beast. He will bring a spark to the running game. Gmen 2011 NFC East Division winners.
Ughhh, that’s awful. But… it’s Da’Rel Scott time. It’s looking more and more like 2007 all over again, where D. Ward was ultimately replaced by, ironically, Bradshaw.
Pats luck out again.
Just in time for Giants fans to have an excuse for their inevitable tailspin vs. a tough second half schedule. You know, “Redskins suck. Injuries have nothing to do with it.” But “the only reason WE lost though is because we had injuries!”
It’s ok let him rest…its not like they are playing the Patriots this week….oh wait….
That sound you hear is Giants fans ripping their hair out.
D. Ware have any fantasy value giants homers?
Giants fans…
How about telling me a little bit about Ware and Scott and who you think will get the most touches going forward.
Thanks!
The last 9 games for the G men are brutal . Has to be the toughest remaining schedule in the NFL. @ pats , @ SF , Philly , @Saints , Green Bay , @Dallas , Washington , @ Jets , Dallas …. They’ll be lucky to go 8-8 for the season after there 5-2 start ….. Go NINERS ! See u week 10!
Tiki time
The Giants have a murderous schedule coming up. They have a good chance of being home for the playoffs.
Not sure this hurts them much against the Patriots.
If their game plan doesn’t call for them to pass it 50 times, they should fire Coughlin.
Pass the ball! Pats can’t rush or cover. They can stop the run. So don’t run!
HUGE opportunity for Ware here. With Jacobs on his way out the G-Men Brass should try to give him every chance they can.
Jacobs cannot carry the load. If Ware does not come through expect Eli’s passing numbers to continue to climb.
as a pats fan bradshaw is good but pats should be more worried bout the giants front four. lamar woodley was running right by vollmer last week consistently and thats the side pierre paul lines up at not to meniton osi and tuck. well c what happens tho
The Yao Ming of football
Giants fans: If you were a fantasy player, would you add DJ Ware or this Scott guy? Thx
I feel for the losers who keep praying for our downfall. They did it going into 2007 and Bradshaw and Jacobs made them eat crow. Jacobs and Scott will do the same until Bradshaw comes back; IF he doesn’t indeed play, as he has before with this injury.
I agree with the “Da’Rel Scott time” comment, he looked great in the preseason. Anyone has to be better than Ware & Jacobs!
I love the ignorance of Eagles and Skins fans. Look at the stats. The Giants running game has been horrible all season long. I believe they are averaging nearly 40 yards per game LESS than last year and last year wasn’t their best year running, either. They are currently ranked 30th in rushing. The Giants have won on Eli’s arm all this season. Of course you morons will now pipe in that “Eli sucks” or something equally insightful. Bottom line, he has the Giants at 5-2 on top of the NFC East and he has the third highest QB rating in League – only behind Rodgers and Brady, both of whom have better O lines and better WR groups, and far, far better pass catching TEs. Oh, and don’t look now, but Eli is second in average yds per pass behind Rodgers. Must be embarrassing to have spent so much money on a “Dream Team” and get beat by a guy who “sucks”. And have no Super Bowl wins while the guy who “sucks” not only has the ring, but the game MVP award, as well.
Nooooooo!!!!
There goes my 3rd rb
Besides, the way to beat NE is to pass and we got that covered even if Nicks does not play.
man, i`ll tell ya, i am a bills fan first and a close second, the giants. i cannot believe the injury list both these teams have had the past three years. this is really bad for the gmen. fastasscar has got alot to prove.
how does he go from xrays are negative to now it’s broke? great job Giants staff

3rd? Who are your first 2?
I knew I kept that big lummux on my fantasy roster for some reason.
I wouldnt be shocked if bradshaw plays this week. He has played with a worse injury to both feet. reports change every 4 mins. now they are saying the injury isnt serious and might be OK for sunday.
Does it really matter? The giants have been awful at running the ball this season and have gotten zero blocking while rushing. Although bradshaw is a nice player and jacobs is a giant piece of doody.
This just in….Tiki Barber and his agent are “flabbergasted” that they have not received a call yet…
The good news is the Giants won’t need to run this week.

Call me crazy but beating tom brady is how i would say you should beat the pats but thats just me.
Also Giants fans. There was 1 comments about the eagles but several comments from giants fans about the eagles which to me says your scared.
I mean the eagles have played as bad as they could and lost to ATL, NYG, BUF, and SF. All good teams and they still should have won at least 2.
Giants lost to Seattle and Washington and should have lost to the Arizona cardinals had the refs not saved you completely and almost lost to the winless Dolphins. I would pump the brakes before you jump down Eagles fans necks.
We are fine jus wat bj needed a chance to play its not like da run gm been killn it go giants
Keep the schadenfreude comments coming.
I mean, you guys were spot on when you said that the Giants would be a joke with Smith going to the Eagles.
Oh, and they definitely would regress without Boss. No doubt.
Right, and they were such idiots to not resign Plax. What fools!
Whoops, and Osi would tear apart the locker room and not contribute this year – Better trade him, right?
Everyone says the Giants could get destroyed by their upcoming schedule, and they certainly could, but it begs the question – what will be left to say if they don’t?
Time to sit back and watch Brandon Jacobs tragically disappoint everyone once again. I hope that he talks trash before the game as per usual– then it’d be a double whammy of hilarity and sadly-long-declining-football-skills.
Take it easy giants fans……I’m not saying the eagles are a lock for division but injuries and that rough schedule sure does favor the eagles. Pay back coming your way in 3 weeks! Go birds!
I’m seriously starting to think that having guys on my fantasy team curses them.
FREE Da’Rel Scott!!
“Also Giants fans. There was 1 comments about the eagles but several comments from giants fans about the eagles which to me says your scared. ”
Scared of what? The Giants were not even supposed to compete this year. Again, NO ONE predicted them going to the Super Bowl, let alone winning. The Giants were well over the cap. They had to cut valuable role and backup players. They have an undersized, sixth round rookie as their middle LB because their starter is out for the year and they had NO ONE else to put in. The are NO expectations for the Giants. But the “Dream Team” – oh, you ladies sure did put on an offseason show!! And you talked, and talked, and talked about how the Super Bowl was a lock. No. I think the ones that are scared are the Philly assclowns. You guys went all in. This is “your year”. Anything less than a Lombardi would be a failure – your owner said so himself. I think YOU are scared that “terrible” Eli and his rag-tag group are going to humiliate you in front of the entire nation. NY has nothing to lose. Philly has everything to lose. We’re not scared at all. We’re laughing at how nervous you boys are and how “awesome” the Dream Team has been.
Time for jacob to step up… and dazzle us all with his explosive… and chronic complaining…
NEW YORK they’re coming!!!!!
I wrote all about how the Giants need to play Da’Rel Scott more this week on my site OnThingz.com before we learned this news about Bradshaw.
Bradshaw has played with all sorts of screwy foot and ankle issues in the past, but even with his tough, often brilliant, running the Giants are averaging 85 yards per game with their running attack. This is 30th in the league. Eli is masterful at picking up third and long with his arm, but it’s time to give a burst to the run game that clearly Ware and Bradshaw don’t provide.
Da’Rel proved in the preseason, like Victor Cruz did the previous year, that he is clearly a playmaker. He was the fastest running back at the combine with a 40 time of 4.34 yards. The Giants have put him in games on only a handful of snaps this season. They refuse to involve him regularly to the detriment of the offense.
Play Scott, get even better.
I just bid on him in my fantasy auction. Believe!
