That Boomeranged on him. At first I though it was cool of him to be a stand up guy and let Manning know, but I couldn’t shake the idea that this was on national TV and he’s presuming what Manning is thinking.

If there is not enough to talk about in the NFL, perhaps there should be fewer media figures.

….but just to correct progree2011….Manning has one ring because of his defense. Manning’s passing stats were terrible that playoff run. The defense rose up….going from one of the worst defenses in the league during regular season to the BEST defense in the playoffs….that is why they won the SB….not because of all the INTs he threw.

As it has turned out, Peyton Manning is one of the MOST OVER-RATED QB’S IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME !!!
At the end of the day, he only has 1 ring !!!!

With all of his 15 minutes at the line playcalls and other irrelevant antics at the line….with all the rant about him over his career, one would think he had multiple rings ( ex: Roethlisburger – 2, Aikman – 3, Bradshaw – 4, Staubach – 2, Montana- 4 etc. ).

This guy’s days are long behind him. He has always had happy feet and too nervous to be in the pocket. I don’t think he will ever take another snap.

The Colts organization is tanking the season to get Luck, to replace Peyton. This story is an attempt to refute what every semi-educated person already knows !

So…. Phil Simms, Super Bowl MVP, two time SB winner and one of the toughest QBs in league history, is “ridiculous” for voicing an opinion about a college QB, but some lawyer with a website can make a video saying he’s gonna lobby his buddy Peter King to vote no on Bill Parcells enshrinement into the HOF… Funny stuff Mikey.

Notice how Manning doesn’t deny it but just insults Simms. The Colts have really shot themselves in the foot by giving Peyton too much power. Peyton took all the 1st team practice snaps and pretty much all the game day snaps so the back up QBs had very close to zero experience, even in blowouts. Now his backup is woefully unprepared.

I couldn’t possibly agree more. The myth of Manning’s “class” is up there with the myth of McNabb’s. It’s petty and childish, what he said. But that’s him to a T.
