Using one or two examples where fan behavior was a bit boorish still doesn’t establish that Packer fans are not generally “classy” (I hate that word, but whatever). You are cherry picking a couple of events and assuming that it represents the average Packer fan behavior.

Even assuming the average arrest rate is somewhere above 4 arrests as the article above implies, are you going to make the claim that 6 or even 7 arrests proves the point that the other 73,121 fans are somehow not “classy” people? Yeah, we get it. You’ve managed to prove the point that every team’s fans have some idiots. Congratulations Captain Obvious. Lambeau also hasn’t had a rape in the parking lot (Philadelphia), or mayhem where people were shot (San Fran). Additionally, your average figures don’t take into account the capacity of the stadiums and the fact that Lambeau sells ALL the seats (as opposed to other stadiums that cover their seats to still have a sellout). Lambeau is just out of the top ten in stadium capacity so it figures that the amount of arrests would be one or two arrests higher than average.

Additionally, the specific game’s arrest figures you cited probably DID include a number of Viking fans. It was a highly charged atmosphere when Favre came back the first time and Viking fans are not always angels either.

Finally, no where did I say that Packer fans are “extra classy” – my attitude is that they are just like every other NFL team’s fans – lots of good folks, couple of idiots. But using arrest statistics at games is inaccurate at best .

In order to properly support your argument that Packer fans aren’t classy by using arrest data at games, you have to provide a baseline (and prove that those arrested are fans of the Packers as opposed to a visiting team). Just saying X arrests at Packer games proves NOTHING until you establish that an average NFL game has Y arrests and that X>Y, and of those arrested all X are fans of the Packers.

And Jared Allen has 12.5 sacks, is probably one of only two defenders on the Vikins worth blocking, rushes from the same position (end) on every play, and still has four times as many sacks as Roid Boy.
