I am sick and effing tired of buying Browns jerseys that are relevant for only one or two seasons.

It seems like I have a collection of jerseys from people who not only left the Browns after a short time, but left under a black cloud at that. Hillis, Derek Anderson, Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow II, Andre Rison… I can’t even wear my throwback Jim Brown jersey without it popping into my head that he turned into a cranky, over-opinionated, old wife beater.

Come to think of it, out of 11 Browns jerseys I own, only TWO of them represent Browns players who did not leave in utter shame- Bernie Kosar and Pepper Johnson.

Any of you guys rich enough to by the team from Randy Lerner, fire that past-his-prime dunce Holmgren, and actually try to build a winner?

@jerseysportsbullies, who the heck gets married on a Tuesday and in late fall? Also, he’s a football player and the couple ought to know when the football season ends. A dedicated pro knows when the season is and where he needs to be for his livelihood.

I really thought the Browns could win 8 games this year…I like their players (Haden, Taylor, Thomas, S. Brown, Ward). This Hillis thing is crazy, I hope its just overblown, b/c it was cool to watch him play last year.

And as far as Alexander, he was a jerk who happened to play behind the best O-line in the league @ that time. No more Hutch and an aged, injured Walter Jones and you see what you had. I’ve been saying this for a month now… it is pretty obvious they are not signing this tool in the off-season and as a bengal fan i think that is too bad ( actually a smart move ) he had 1 yes that’s right 1 good year and he wants 5 years…. are you kidding?Holmgren is smart not to invest in hillis.

What happened to the pft writers? You guys all used to believe that a single big season completely validated a big contract boost for a running back. When Chris Johnson had one big season, you all said the kid deserved a huge payday, despite the fact that he was already being paid first-round money.

LOL at Wallace the one spilling the beans…its the most press time he’s had since he made one run in college, and he knows it.

Regardless, Holmgren had a model citizen who was the top running back in the league and set an NFL record with TD’s over those couple fantastic seasons in the mid 2000′s, and he held onto him probably one season too long.

Hillis is not in the same area code as Alexander, and any one of this guys little tricks likely had him gone at the end of this year with Holmgren at the helm, let alone the twce a week stories that are popping out now.

This statement has been confusing me for a while now. Why is this annoying his teammates? What is he supposed to be doing during pregame warmups of a game he’s been ruled out for?

The talent is there, the Browns and Hillis handled the situation poorly. Hillis saw the writing on the wall, when they weren’t willing to pay him the big contract for a starting RB. Honestly, for Hillis, it’s better this way. Cleveland doesn’t slap the Franchise tag on him and throw a monkey wrench into his FA year. All Hillis needs is one team to believe in him and he’s set.
