APPunter Daniel Sepulveda has played in the NFL for five seasons. In three of them, he has ended up on injured reserve.
The latest placement on IR occurred today, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Sepulveda has a knee injury; one three prior occasions, he has suffered torn ACLs.
The Steelers have re-signed Jeremy Kapinos, who punted for the team in 2010.
Fortunately for the Steelers, Kapinos remained available. On Friday, he worked out for the Lions. Ten days earlier, he worked out for the Saints.

This guy is a punter right??
In sepulvidas 3 seasons on the IR, the steelers have made the super bowl. On the two he stayed healthy, the team missed the playoffs
Great news! Everytime he goes on IR Steelers go to the Super Bowl!
He must be awesome when he’s healthy!
super bowl
“Great news! Everytime he goes on IR Steelers go to the Super Bowl!”
Yeah, guy gets hurt….great news.
But it’s so cool that he used to be a linebacker in college!
He’s the Bob Sanders of punting!
Just guessing that 10:08 EDT was during halftime of the LSU-Alabama game.
At this point they need to find a new punter. However good he may be, he spends way too much time on IR. Not that it is his fault, but since teams only carry one punter, they need one they can count on. At this point, his ACL will tear if someone accidentally looks at it a little too long.
Dan Sepulveda is the Bob Sanders of punters. What a waste. On the bright side, when he goes on the IR List the Steelers go to the Super Bowl!
I know it’s just a punter, but that in a game where most people expect the Steelers to win (including me) the injuries are starting to add up.
