Favre was getting older, so obviously the Packers wanted to get a QB early for when he moved on rather than later.

Culpepper was in his mid-20s, just came off from a season where he set the single season record (that still stands) for most all purpose yards, and the Vikings had way more glaring needs at WR with the departure of Randy Moss.

Actually, you are wrong, if you want to go by a mathematical perspective. The wording of the phrase was “they have 4 times the bragging rights”. In mathematical terms, that comes up as:

(GB bragging rights) = 4(MN bragging rights)

If bragging rights = SB wins, then GB bragging rights = 4 and MN bragging rights = 0. Therefore:

(4) = 4(0) which is not a balanced equation

Now, if the phrase was simply “GB has more bragging rights than MN”, than that would make sense, as 4>0, but adding the multiplier ruins the application.

BTW, if you were to “multiply GB wins by MN losses in Super Bowls”, as you say, that would equal 16, with both teams being on the same side of the equation.

As for the Packers Vikings rivalry, it is very much true and alive up here in Superior, WI, and anywhere else in the northern half of WI. Don’t say it isn’t one because it is more so than the Bears rivalry up here.

I think the moves have settled down a little, no magical pots of gold anymore, if the NFL wants to move a team to LA, let it be one of the teams already on that coast. Here’s some 2nd grade math that they don’t teach in Wisconsin: 4 x 0 = 0. So to say that the Packers have 4 times the bragging rights is completely ignorant, and a very accurate reflection on the education system in Wisconsin.

Also, it’s easy for people to cheer for the Packers, whether they’re bandwagon or original. Try being the fan of a team that continually lets you down each year and see how long you stay with it.
