The Washington Redskins were shut out last week, and shut out in the first half this week, too -- until Graham Gano finally got them on the board on the last play before halftime.
Gano booted a 59-yard field goal as time expired on the second quarter, and the Redskins are finally on the board -- but down 13-3 against the 49ers.
The 59-yarder is the second-longest in the NFL this season, tied for the 10th-longest in NFL history, and the longest in Redskins franchise history.
Unfortunately for the Redskins, quarterback John Beck is having another lousy game, with just 86 passing yards in the first half on 10-of-20 passing, with one interception. Frank Gore has already gone over 75 rushing yards, Alex Smith has a touchdown pass, David Akers has two field goals and the 49ers are rolling.
