Are you kidding me about the Hines Ward hit? He is one of the dirtiest players in football and if you pull him up on youtube.com, all of his hits are helmet to jaw/neck area. I’d say he had it coming. And glad Ray gave it to him, albeit accidentally.

There is NO WAY that hit by Ray Lewis was accidental. You saw Ray lower his head and load up against Hines. The size of the fine that Ray gets this week is going to reflect that.

Hope Ward is OK. Ward got Reed a few years ago, and we got him back last night. I don’t think it was helmet to helmet. It was dangerously close, but it was shoulder to helmet. Clark will be seeing a fine too.

probably the worst officiated game i have ever seen. First play from line of scrimmage, holding on the ravens what do the refs do mark it as first and ten instead of first and twenty as it should have been.
i figured the fix was in at that point.

The penalty was enforced at the point of the foul, which was the 34. The holding penalty brought it back to the original Line of Scrimmage on the 24.

William Gay was being clearly pulled down to the ground. Would it have changed the play? Maybe not, because Gay is possibly the worst corner ever and he would have been out of position to make a good tackle if he was not held.

Does not matter if you love the Steelers or hate them, that is some more awful officiating.

now i have to say love coming to these sites and seeing most of the time the teams that lose to the steelers cry and moan all day about refs blown calls they cry and cry till they are blue in the face..but when shoe is on other foot they actually act like they never do it..shut the hell up already.the ravens won thats fine i see a fine for lewis on the cheap shot to the head yes..im not gonna sit and cry about it.penalty should have been called yes but it wasnt.

Congrats to the Ravens and much respect to Flacco for that final drive. This was a much more satisfying game than our first meeting–more in the Steelers/Ravens tradition. After my Tide lost to LSU last night 9-6, have to say the football universe has a weird sense of humor when we went in at the half trailing … 9-6. But at least some TDs were scored in this great defensive battle.

Yeah tell me something I dont know….my Hawaii Warriors lost 35-31 last night with 15 sec left after blowing up a 28-7 lead and then tonight my Steelers lost with 8 sec left…painful weekend

I was pleased as hell when the steelers took the lead , but some awful play calling on the steelers last possession.

Worse than that was the soft defense they played on the final drive.

Besides that, congrats to the ravens, I really didn’t think flacco had it in him to pull it off, but he came through. Here’s hoping to a meeting in the playoffs where the steelers will exact their revenge!!!

Wow a classic battle between these two teams As A Browns fan it is enjoyable to watch these two beat the snot out of each other, since our team is horrible we have to get some satisfaction and watching HInes Ward get layed out, Palamolu thrown to ground by Ray Rice Etc. is great entertainment. Keep Beating each other up, I think I’ll root for the Ravens the lesser of two evils.

Balt. v. Pitt is always great football. I’m not a fan of either team, but it’s a pleasure to watch these great teams fight it out in front of real football fans, no matter where the game is played.
