Miles Austin to miss 2-4 weeks with hamstring injury

Miles Austin AP

The Cowboys need Dez Bryant to step up, starting now.

Dallas will be without Miles Austin for 2-4 weeks after he hurt his right hamstring Sunday, according to Matt Mosley of FoxSportsSouthwest.

Linebacker Sean Lee has a “much better chance” to play this week, according to Mosley.

Austin has already missed two games this year with a left hamstring injury  This absence highlights Dallas’ lack of depth at wide receiver.

Laurent Robinson figures to start opposite Dez Bryant while Austin is out.  The Cowboys offense ranks only 18th in points this year despite ranking seventh in offensive yards.

Starting now? Don’t know where you’ve been Gregg but this isn’t the first time Austin has missed playing time this season. He missed the Redskins and Lions games.

With one top receiver out I wouldn’t have the other shagging punts. Here’s an idea though, have Romo returning punts.

dallas only needs about seven more injuries or so and they’ll catch up to the giants. how many teams other than the giants have not seen either their first or second round picks play one snap this year? in addition to them: terrell thomas, goff, nicks, manningham, tuck, osi, baas, bradshaw, snee, jacobs….all have missed time, two have missed the whole season. no team in football has anything injury-wise on the 6-2 giants.

Quit your crying, your team is still miles behind last year’s Packers squad, as far as injuries go.

Miles and Felix both seem to be made of glass these days. Felix also just lost his job as starter.
