Terrell Suggs, Ed Reed unexpectedly land on injury list

On Wednesday, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs and safety Ed Reed fully participated in practice.

On Thursday, neither guy was there.

They appeared on the injury report as not participating, with Suggs missing practice due to a knee injury.  For Reed, it was a shoulder.

Their status for Sunday at Seattle currently isn’t known; Friday’s injury report will contain the official designation for the game.  Given the Ravens’ tendency to play down to the level of the competition, the team needs them.

The good news is that center Matt Birk (neck) fully participated in practice, a day after being unable to go.  Also, receiver Lee Evans (ankle) has practiced both days on a limited basis.

Suggs isn’t missing this game, he has only missed 3 or so in his career, all in 09. Ed, on the other hand, who knows. The guy is a warrior and my favorite player of all time but a shoulder injury can’t be good news with the neck and shoulder issues he’s had as recently as last year and that have dogged him the last few. If its at all serious, they should consider sitting him this week for a little rest, I think Pollard, Zbikowski, and Nakamura can handle Tarvaris “jump pass” Jackson and the Seahawks.

Don’t be mad Steeler’s fans just because your players went to Can’t Ball University and ours went to Ball So Hard University.

Ravens fans clinging to their aging defense….We had about 10K Ravensfans4life down here talking all kinds of nonsense before the MNF game…..then, in the 3rd quarter, they got a first down. Jax D is better.

Sweeeeeppppp. Courtesy of the fine degrees our players have from Ball So Hard University. Where’d the Steelers team go? DeVry?

    The real injuries?

C’mon, man! The only thing worse than some guy hating on my Steelers is one who manages to get a laugh out of me while he’s doing it :P

Unless something terrible happened in Wednesday’s practice, they’re probably just resting their tweaks. Seattle’s offense shouldn’t be a big challenge for them.
