2 CFL teams showing interest doesn't mean anything.

BB knew Moss was crap when he traded him away, and nothing has happened to change the fact that Moss has been completely washed up since then.

If injuries happen to Welker, and/or Branch, they could possibly have interest in him this year. But he's a fool if he thinks they'll give him anything more than vet min.

I don’t think the Patriots will call Moss, because this would show everyone that Belichick made a mistake in trading Moss in the first place. I just don’t think his ego would let him place the call to Moss.

They never should've traded him in the first place, they should've given him his two-year deal and kept him happy, and if he was still there, maybe opponents wouldn't have this dink'n'dunk, timing, short-passing game has figured out as they do now - because that fear of Moss over the top would still be there.

Remember, in his first game with the Vikes last year, he burned Cromartie for a 40yard TD. And last year was when Revis pulled up lame with an 'injury' after Moss burned him.

If you think Moss isn't still one of the (underestimating) 30 best receivers in the game, and could still be a valuable, possibly the missing piece, to this Pats offense, you're blinded by your own hatred of Moss - a hatred which never made sense to begin with.

Not true at all. BB is unafraid to make moves that show he’s made mistakes or leave him open to creticism. Look at Hainsworth and Bodden in the past few weeks. Or earlier this year cutting Merriweather (a first round pick) in favor of undrafted free agents. If BB thinks Moss would make the Pats a better team, a call will be made.
------------------------------------------------------

BB will let you go if you are a underachiever, but Moss was still very valuable to the team at the time of the trade...so it is obvious something else went down. I don't think BB want to go down that road again.

Randy Moss will never play another down in the NFL. No team is going to take him, especially after he's been out of the game more than half a season.

If Randy wants to get back in the NFL, why not coach wide receivers? He'd be a good coach, considering that, with his talents, he should have been probably the greatest receiver of all time.

In his last year with the Patriots, Moss was such a malcontent slacker that Belichick traded him mid season.

But if Moss comes back now he promises to give 100% effort for the rest of the season and any possible playoff games?

That's just a strange situation.

His EGO??? Really??? You mean the ego of the guy who was called a LIAR by Ty Law and who still tired to sign him back later on? The guy who traded for Deion Branch after a very ugly contract dispute led to Branch's trade to the Seahawks????

BB is definitely thinking it im sure…. Moss showed respect when he got canned more or less and he is still a deep threat requiring double team… And he knows the team…. How many guys like that are ready for a call right now?
===============

Carolina Panthers pretty much proved how to defense him. whoop his ass at the line, and he'll eventually go to the sidelines....i respect the fact less that the Patriots would actually sign this dude with 8 to 7 games left for the playoff run, and a much deserved smashdown by the Ravens, Jets or Steelers before or in the AFC Championship.

Okay, so let's say the Pats lose tonight and Moss signs next week with a $4 m deal and can be ready to play for the last six games of the season, plus 1-3 playoff games.

If he averages four catches a game and plays eight games total this season, that's $125,000 per catch. Good money if you can get it in this economy...

Unfortunately for the unemployed veteran, I just don't think that Bob Kraft is open to getting annualized like that.

I don't see it. Bringing Moss back would be the equivalent of BB saying he was wrong. And if there is one thing BB is not going to do it's admit that he was wrong. Hopefully, Price should be feeling better soon and they can see what this kid has as a burner. Go Pats! SWEEP THE JETS!

With everything to play for and his next contract riding on his performance last year, Moss was unable to establish himself as a deep threat last year for the Patriots.

... and for the Vikings

... and for the Titans

Did I miss something or is there some reason to think that after aging a year, sitting out an entire offseason and half the regular season he'll suddenly revert to his 2007 form?

Before the Pats do that, they should bench Ochostinco and let Taylor Price play. If that doesn't work then I'm all for the Pats giving Moss a $3 million dollar contract (the same we're paying Ochostinco) and straight up cutting Ochostinco, take the $$ lost to him on the chin and use it as a reminder to stop signing washed up players... oh wait..

signed, Pats Fan!
