Leonard Hankerson, Eric Wood among those headed for I.R.

Week 10 was a rough one for injuries around the NFL.

We’ve already let you know about the biggest injury updates from Monday, from Knowshon Moreno to Matt Cassel to Michael Vick to Rashean Mathis.

Here are a few more of the most serious injuries:

1. Redskins rookie receiver Leonard Hankerson is out for the year with a torn labrum in his hip. It’s a shame after he topped 100 yards against Miami Sunday.

2. Bills center Eric Wood is done for the season with a torn ACL, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.  Buffalo’s once strong line has slowly been depleted and this injury really hurts them.

3. The Rams will be without cornerback Al Harris and tight end Michael Hoomanawanui for the rest of the season. The team confirmed that both players tore ACLs on Sunday.

4. The Jaguars placed tackle Eben Britton on injured reserve, in addition to Mathis.

5. The Bengals placed their best cornerback Leon Hall on injured reserve with a torn Achilles’ tendon. We reported the injury on Sunday.

6. The Bucs announced that defensive end George Johnson is out for the season.  They signed John McCargo.

7. Jason La Canfora of reports that Seahawks John Moffitt will require knee surgery.

Anyone else wish the season was 18 games? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

    E-Wood cannot stay healthy. Annoying.

Too bad for Al Harris. He has gone from a player who never missed any games or practices to one who keeps getting the season-ending injury.

Tough loss. Wood is one heckuva player!

Ugh… Leonard Hankerson was the only reason left to watch the Redskins this season.

WTF????? Hankerson was balling! This the second impact rookie that has gone down this year (Jarvis Jenkins). I’m a huge CUBS fan also, so I know how to wait til next year. If we get a QB either through the draft or Flynn from Green Bay, the skins are going to be a team to deal with. Wait to next year!!! Hail!!

LT Chris Hairston should be back for Buffalo, Rinehart LG and Levitre C. Besides Fitz gets the ball out so fast Mike Williams would look good.

I was so mad when Hankerson went down, he has so much potential. Had a great game on Sunday, ran some really nice routes and seemed to have shaken off the drops.

Man that sucks abut hankerson. He really had a good game in Miami an just seemed like he was going to get better. Hopefully he comes back. Next season in good shape. One of the young guys on my skins that show promice. It’s time to play all the young guys and see where they stand for next year..

Too bad about Moffitt. While Carpenter started slow and has been steadily improving, Moffitt has been pretty solid at right guard from the outset. Running the ball is all about attitude, and the young Seattle offensive line has been showing some of that attitude the last couple of weeks. Moffitt has been a big part of that.

Hankerson???? Damn! the only bright spot on the Skins offense and now he is done…..That Lockout hurt as well,I hate to take somebody elses line but…”Anyone for an 18 game season?”

Hankerson took his time to get to where he was, but now, we know what we have. We can scratch 1 WR needed off the list of needs: MLB, CB, OL x 3, RB?, another WR, and ohhhhh yeah QB!!!!

    Should be an interesting draft….Luck?

damn. sad to see Eric Wood down. he suffers some real bad injuries.

This awful turn the Bills are taking is quickly turning disastrous, losing Wood for the season is definitely not what we need.
