They were fine and competitive within the division (although no SB contender by any means) until they started losing starters to injury. They have zero depth on offense and with skill starters like Cooley, Hightower, Moss, Hankerson, Torain, and several linemen gone for several games or the entire season you’re getting exactly what many of us Skins fans expected…the firepower of a 4-5 win team. They get a few CB’s and load up on some quality offensive talent like they did with 12 draft picks and a prudent FA period last season and this team will be fine.

Peyton Manning couldn’t put up points or be successful with the amount of time Washington’s O line is giving the QB right now. 2 or less seconds isn’t enough to even make a 3 step drop…ya just can’t win with those things working against you and the Skins FO can only do so much in one offseason. I sure for one am glad Andre Carter got let go so he could have a career game on Sunday, and Carlos Rogers went on to have a career year with San Fran.

I would say this franchise had no idea how to judge talent, but this year’s draft picks look like they may pan out.

Kyle Shanahan thought Beck was a such a surefire hit he actually said if he’d been running a team he’d have used a top 10 pick to select Beck. Which helps explain why Kyle Shanahan will never run an NFL team. He shouldn’t be coordinating one, either, but when Daddy is in charge, you catch some pretty big breaks.
