The Packers are the defending Champs and they’ve proven to be the best in the league after 10 weeks. There’s no shame in being second best to the Packers for now. While we have our flaws, it’s hard to argue against the fact that the 49ers have been improving week to week.

Fellow Niner fans: no sense justifying anything to those who still have their doubts. Records, quality of opponents, statistics and general circumstances should speak for themselves. Those who love to point out our deficiencies by shouting out stats are often the same folks who ignore the #’s when they’re favorable to us.

For a team that’s been down since 2002, the claim to fame and accolades need to be earned. If we maintain these consistent improvements, then earned they shall be. Afterall – since perception = reality, we’ve been perceived to be pretty crappy for a long time. Just cuz we washed off the sh-t we’ve been in since ’02, people are only drawing attention to some of the old stink.

I’m a sad Raven this week

I don’t know about that. I’ve watched every single 49er game this year, and in every single game, they’ve added a new facet to the offense. In the most recent game, the 49ers managed to beat the Giants with a 76-24% pass/rush ratio. I’m not saying Alex Smith is some kind of dynamo, but I don’t think we’ve seen the best of him.. .certainly not the last.

Apparently he didn’t see that priceless look on Jared Allen’s face last night when Matt Flynn ran in for a TD. No, not Rodgers……….Matt Flynn! The pre-game smug looks of both Ponder and Allen got knocked da “F” off.

Notice how quite all the lavender Larry pukes are today. Can’t you just envision them all wrapped up in the fetal position in a dark corner, thumbs in mouths with their fecal stained purple blankies covering their genetically defective heads.

Also, you can’t just discount passing offense. It’s a passing league. That’s like saying, aside from the hitting, how is Albert Pujols better than the Matt Stairs?

The AFC West this year is MEDIOCRE. The NFC West last year was HORRIBLE. Big difference.

You do realize barring some sort of calamity no matter WHAT happens on Sunday the Steelers will come out of it TIED for first don’t you?

You do realize it’s the exact opposite of that don’t you? No matter what happens Sunday, the Steelers will not come out of it tied for 1st. Either they will be in 2nd place behind Bal, or in 1st place, ahead of both Bal and Cin. They may have the same record, but since the Steelers have played both teams, there would be no tie.

Leinart plays for the Texans, so he is in fact in the AFC South.
