Yes, Romo’s Special Teams play is “special” alright…”special” in the same way the Special Olympics are special.

(And for any special readers out there–that’s a reference to the 2007 NFC Wildcard Game in Seattle where Romo boobtastically botched the hold on a potential game-winning 19 yard field goal).

They should rename the NFC Special Team award to the Devin Hester Award. His #’s are just stupid compared to the rest of the NFL and even compared to the best of the NFL past!

I guess my first comment about Hester being the beneficiary of a bad non-call by the refs was deleted. Watch the replay….block in the back right in front of Hester and the ref.

Along with Hester, Bears CB Tim Jennings should have been the Defensive Player of the week for the NFC. Here’s the stat line…

10 tackles, forced fumble, fumble recovery, interception. Double digit tackles and two turnovers is player of the week to me.

I take nothing away from Harper’s day. His stat line is nothing to scoff at.

There’s no one like Hester. GOAT.

Hester is the definition of lightning in a bottle. At any given time, he could strike. When are teams going to stop playing golf in the rain? He reminds me of the clutch hitter in baseball.

Teams will soon learn it’s better to walk him with the bases loaded instead of giving him the chance to smack it out of the park.
