I'm a diehard fan, but this situation is contrived by the Wilfs. They are attempting to hold the state hostage. Of course they like the Arden Hills deal, it is overwhelmingly in their favor. They basically run the stadium, get the revenue from it, yet have to pay what will amount to ~ 30% of the cost.

Call his bluff, do nothing and force him to either pony up his fair share or move the team. End of story, this is b.s.

Wilf is offering the state of Minnesota a bargain; they can pitch in part of the cost of the stadium to keep the Vikings, or lose the team, suffer the economic impact, and then build a new stadium for another team entirely on the public dole.

Ahem. I live in Minnesota and I think the deal sucks.

Theres no money to pay for this venue.

None.

Wilf would be stupid not to move to Los Angeles.

Minnesota will get another team that is worthy of being followed.

See Baltimore, Houston and Cleveland. All lost teams, all were replaced with something far far better.

All of your “we’re better than you” examples are within minute percentage points of difference when comparing Minnesota with Wisconsin. In other words…virtually identical. But you guys and the minions that have the same superiority complexes as you, still don’t get it. This is a football site. You don’t want to be here. You want “ourpoopdoesnotstink.com”

Oh my God, so you are complete football idiot on top of this?

Green Bay has 14 (14!) Championships, so he isn’t even counting a third of them.

And the Vikings “Championship?” That was the last year before the NFL-AFL merger. They played in the Super Bowl that year and got embarrassed so bad in front of a national audience that I think even Bud Grant cried. Gained 63 yards the entire game. So that was really the same as winning an NFC Championship and the getting pounded in the Super Bowl.

.....
Hey smart guy, gb4mn0 and pack13queens0 are the same guy......he has been taking crap on here for some time about is non-accurate name of pack13queens0 so he finally got smart and updated to his new, fancier name gb4mn0. I love how you call me a football idiot.......typical, go right to the unsubstantiated insults over the internet, true Packer Backer. We all know that the Pack has won 14 NFL championships....why..... not only because I know the NFL, but because you arrogant Packer fans are on making sure we all know it on a daily basis. The Vikings won one in 1969 and the Packers won most of theirs before the NFL-AFL Merger as well. I will post later on your Minnesota-Wisconsin "better state" debate......which I think is comical, because frankly, its not even a debate.....Minnesota > Wisconsin in 98% of everything!

Where should I even start with this?

Fishing. Walleyes goes to Minnesota with the exception of the Fox River and Green Bay, which make Mille Lacs look like the Dells Trout Pond. Muskies…your lakes have come of age and gone. Remember when you had Cass and Leech and that was it? Then you started your own stocking program…60 years after Wisconsin. That’s why there are now 75 viable musky fisheries in all of Minnesota. There are 144…in Vilas County of Wisconsin. Bass/pan/trout…no comparison. How about salmon/steelhead? No comparison. Minnesota is definitely a phenomenal place to catch perch through the ice if you can stand the excitement.

Why do Sconnies flock over I94? Look at a map once, son. Minneapolis/St. Paul (your only metro area) is on the Wisconsin border. You’re comparing your only urban area to rural Wisconsin. You think they’d live in MSP and drive to f’in Baldwin to work? People live here and work there. Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay/Appleton, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Wausau, and the countless other cities in Wisconsin that make up a population of 1 million more people than Minnesota isn’t all on the border. Your argument, per usual, holds no water.

Fortune 500/1000. 23 in Minnesota. 19 in Wisconsin. Go have a Grain Belt Premium in your state’s honor. Have another for your favorite point….you are exactly .071% less fat on average than Sconnies! If I weigh 178 pounds, you weigh 176. Guess where the extra weight comes from?
-------------------------

Whoa..... While this is a ridiculous argument to begin with, let's be clear about a few things.

To suggest that Wisconsin is less rural than Minnesota is absurd. You list Eau Claire, LaCrosse, and Wausau as examples of Wisconsin urban areas? In that case, outside of the TC metro area (which includes more cities of 50,000+ than all of Wisconsin), you would have to include Rochester, Duluth, St.Cloud, Mankato, and Moorhead as urban areas. The fact is that there are 4 more cities of 50,000+ and 21 more of 20,000+ in Minnesota than Wisconisin. Whose argument doesn't hold water?

Fishing. Field and Stream ranked the TC area as the 3rd-best fishing city, behind Miami and San Diego. BR listed the top 25 lakes for bass. No Wisc lake made the cut, but Lake of the Woods did. It also made the WFN list as the best place to catch trophy walleye. At best, this is all subjective, but I would consider it a safe bet that serious fishermen across the country would target Minnesota before Wisconsin.

Aside from the things listed in the last paragraph, (and just since you started all this) there is also the 16% higher median income in Minnesota, the highest of any state not on the Atlantic coast. The study by Dr Jack Miller rated Minneapolis as the 3rd most literate and St.Paul as the 7th most literate city in the country. 33 of the top 1000 largest publicly traded companies in the country are headquartered in Minnesota, as well as the largest privately owned company in the country (Cargill) and the parent company of the Radisson hotel chain.

Does this make Minnesota better than Wisconsin? I could care less what people's opinions are in this regard. We're talking about lines on a map, designed to streamline government, not divide people. But if you want to argue, come with something more than your opinion.

Oh my God, so you are complete football idiot on top of this?

Green Bay has 14 (14!) Championships, so he isn't even counting a third of them.

And the Vikings "Championship?" That was the last year before the NFL-AFL merger. They played in the Super Bowl that year and got embarrassed so bad in front of a national audience that I think even Bud Grant cried. Gained 63 yards the entire game. So that was really the same as winning an NFC Championship and the getting pounded in the Super Bowl.

"Really??? Wisconsin is superior to Minnesota??? Really??? Have you fried every brain cell in your head on Old Millwaukee? I can’t argue with you on the Vikes-Pack comparison…especially this year (I have loved the Vikes my whole life but you have the whole no trophies argument on me, so Im not going to even try) but could please list some other examples that are not football related (since you already went there and opened up that can of worms)? Why do so many Sconis come to my state to fish in my awesome lakes and take all my fish back to Cheeseville? Why do thousands and thousands of Sconis cross into Minnesota on the I94 bridge everyday to work, yet pretty much no Minnesotans go into Cheeseville to work? Why is the quality and healthiness of life ALWAYS rated higher in Minnesota rather than Sconi? Why are there so many Fortune 500 companies in Minnesota and not in the obscure state to the East? I’d like to hear your reasons for your comments, although I know you look at the world through green and gold glasses and that is reason enough for you Sir. Minnesota > Sconi!!!"
-----------------------

Where should I even start with this?

Fishing. Walleyes goes to Minnesota with the exception of the Fox River and Green Bay, which make Mille Lacs look like the Dells Trout Pond. Muskies...your lakes have come of age and gone. Remember when you had Cass and Leech and that was it? Then you started your own stocking program...60 years after Wisconsin. That's why there are now 75 viable musky fisheries in all of Minnesota. There are 144...in Vilas County of Wisconsin. Bass/pan/trout...no comparison.

You're comparing your only urban area to rural Wisconsin. You think they'd live in MSP and drive to f'in Baldwin to work? People live here and work there. Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay/Appleton, La Crosse, Eau Claire, Wausau, and the countless other cities in Wisconsin that make up a population of 1 million more people than Minnesota isn't all on the border. Your argument, per usual, holds no water.

Fortune 500/1000. 23 in Minnesota. 19 in Wisconsin. Go have a Grain Belt Premium in your state's honor. Have another for your favorite point....you are exactly .071% less fat on average than Sconnies! If I weigh 178 pounds, you weigh 176. Guess where the extra weight comes from?

Kudos to you Viking fans that rise up against the relentless attacks from fans of a state and team that is so far superior to you it isn’t even funny.

But can you at least do me one favor? Please come up with some new material for God’s sake! Inbred. Jealous. Inbred. Jealous.

Seriously, do you know anyone from anywhere that is actually inbred? And being jealous of a Minnesotan is like being jealous of a homeless man because he gets free meals at a soup kitchen.

Good for Minnesota doing the right thing

I love pro football but I'm sick of the public paying for these stadiums.

Its nothing but corporate welfare, socialism for the rich.

In a year or so Kroenke will come begging in Missouri and I'd rather see the Rams go back to LA then give them millions in tax money.

Unless they want to give the public partial ownership.

Is there any way the US can sell Minnesota to Canada during these talks? Obviously we’d have to pay Canada a lot of money, but there are some good points to owning Minnesota.

For example…the world’s second largest mall, Betty’s Pies in Two Harbors…I’m sure there’s more if you dig deep.

__
How sad is it that the inbred Packer fans are so threatened by Minnesota? Almost rivals the jealousy that Boston has for New York City. Almost.

----------------------------------------
That's hilarious. 4 straight over the queens by the defending Champs and just coming off a 45-7 humiliating bludgeoning of your purple excrement balls and we are threatened?

Sorry but the truth is you MN dolts are such unwittingly easy targets to provoke and another MN simpleton (you) has taken the bait.
