So will Michael Vick play on Sunday night against the Giants?

It depends on who you ask. ESPN’s Adam Schefter says Vick is unlikely to play. Almost all of the Eagles beat writers think Vick won’t play.

Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhingweg disagrees, saying he’s “optimistic” Vick will play.

“He’s a tough guy and he wants to play,” Mornhinweg said Thursday. “He’s tough mentally and physically and he’s doing everything he can, so we’ll see.”

Nick Fierro of the Morning Call isn’t seeing it.

“Don’t care how tough Vick is. He ain’t playing Sunday. Just saw him a minute ago. He could barely walk,” Fierro said.

It sounds like Vince Young is preparing to make his first Eagles start. Vick didn’t practice Thursday. If Vick doesn’t get on the practice field Friday, we won’t probably won’t hear any more conflicting information.
