For all those who say Tebow "can't throw" All you have tp do is look at his college career stats:

66% completion rate, (661/995) for 9285 yards, 9.3 yards/Attempt with 88 touchdowns 16 ints. and a career 170.8 passer rating
http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/tim-tebow-1.html

Matt Ryan:
60% completion rate (807/1346) for 9313 yards, @6.9 yards per attempt with 56 touchdowns	37 ints. with a career passer rating of 126.3
http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/matt-ryan-1.html

This year's dreamboat Andrew Luck (this years stats not included):

66.4% completion rate (646/973) for 8608 yards with a 8.8 yard per attempt with 74 touchdowns to 19 ints with a 161.9 passer rating
http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/andrew-luck-1.html

So, for all those saying that Tebow "can't throw", his previous body of work contradicts that. Sure, the NFL is a different game, but I think that with his determination, and a willingness to be coached, an offseason of OTA's and a full training camp's worth of practice, I believe that he can develop into a complete quarterback who will be able to win with both his arm and his legs.

I remember one time, San Francisco brought on a new coach that did all kinds of weird stuff. Instead of running the ball, he'd have his backs catching short passes out of the backfield, or a guy in the slot would run a quick slant. Lots of short passes, heavily dependent on timing.

This was no "pro" offense. Nobody'd ever done anything like this in the NFL before. I wish I could remember his name, and I wonder what ever happened to that old goofball...

Oh yeah. His name is Bill Walsh. He's in the HOF and sent many, many players to that same hall. He also sprouted the biggest coaching "tree" ever.

Go get 'em, Denver, and much success to you, Mr. Tebow.

The most amazing aspect of Tebowmania is the inexplicable ineptitude of opposing coaches. The Detroit game film shows how easy it is to completely shut down and stop the one dimensional, run first, can't throw Tebow.

Put 9 on the line of scrimmage, jam and cover his receivers one on one. Stop the run, make him throw. Tebow can only very rarely complete a second option pass that requires lift, touch and precision.

If opposing coaches would simply do what Detroit did, they would have a 40 point lead by the time they put the second string in during the 4th quarter. And Tebow would have a QB rating of 3.4.

This team is rebuilding from the McDaniels disaster.

One formula for winning is old school. Staunch D to keep opponents' scoring down, running offense that can score points supplemented by a low risk, low use passing game, produce as close to 0 turnovers as possible on O.

Since Tebow took over, they've had one turnover on O, D is stepping it up, and the passing O while ugly - is actually getting better. Tebow has a 99 PR in Q1 and a 107 PR in Q4. If he improves significantly over the off season and Denver does well in next year's draft, they could contend in 2012.

Bottom line is Tebow is 4-1 as a starter.

“You play to win the game!” Herm Edwards.

The fact that only Aaron Rogers and Alex Smith have a higher winning percentage than Tebow speaks for itself.

I still have a hard time wrapping my head around that last sentence. Big fan of Alex as a stand up team first type of guy, but I never thought I'd see the day he would be the starter of an 8-1 soon to be 9-1 team. I always figured Tebow would be a winner, but they really need to get him the coaching and talent around him to succeed for the long term. Maybe they can pick off Turner as OC after he's inevitably fired this year. He had Alex looking promising before taking the San Diego gig

@talkintrashallday: I’ve been reading/writing this forum for a long time and yours is the stupidest statement I’ve EVER read here.

True fact: the young man who credits his line, his defense, his mentors, his coaches, and his God for his success is building a hospital. And you want to trash that kind of action in a world as fouled up as the one we live in today?

What have you ever done to make this world a better place? What have you ever done PERIOD? No answer necessary; just something to ask yourself in a moment of reflection.

..not that you have any of those…

The best thing for Tebow about winning these games is that it will allow him to continue to start, get all the reps in practice and improve.
Look, he said it because it's true. Tebow played in the spread in college and he seldom dropped back like they do in the pros. He's used to run first, then use a dink-and-dunk passing game where he dumped short throws to fast wideouts.

He can't do reads, he can barely throw deep. In a traditional offense, he'd be really and royally screwed!

You know I don't like tebow nor do I not like him so basically I have no opinion of him . But I like how he's building this hospital because it shows you can be in the NFL and not be an idiot who wastes his money and acts responsibly in society. I.e Jerome Simpson stockpiling weed in his house. Or any other NFL player ending up in prison. So good for Tim tebow

ESPN reported on Tuesday "The Tim Tebow Foundation and CURE International are teaming up to build a children's hospital in the Philippines, where the Denver Broncos quarterback was born.

The Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City on the island of Mindanao, a particularly poor area of the Philippines, will be a 30-bed surgical facility focusing on orthopedics.

The groundbreaking will be held in January and the $3 million hospital is expected to open in 2013."

You dont have to like the guy or his play, but this is what he is doing in his spare time. What are you up to?
