bad news, for us Ravens fans. Ray Lewis is the heart and soul of the defense and a huge part of the team. Guys like Ngota , Suggs and Ed Reed will have to fill some of the void. Go Ravens.

No doubt about it, Lewis is/was the greatest MLB of all time. This from a Bengals fan. I want their best shot against our best shot. It’s too bad injuries are going to be factor from either side. It does even things up a bit with the Bengals losing Green and Hall. Go Bengals.

Enough of the ‘stabbing/murderer’ jokes, its wasn’t even funny 16 years ago. Grow up. As for being no longer a valuable defensive player, just look at his stats. They speak for themselves (the ONLY member of the 30/40 club). Yeah, he may have gotten a bad tackle on Lynch last week but he completely de-cleated Keller last season and made a huge backfield tackle on Sproles to win the game the season before that. So don’t hate just because you can only WISH your team had one of the greatest linebackers ever. Just respect the man for what he has done on and off the football field.

Everytime Ray’s name comes up there will inevitablely be multiple jokes about him stabbing someone or jumping on piles.

Next time just keep those to yourselves…we already know how jealous you are not to have had the joy of watching the greatest MLB ever to play the game.

Yeah he’s on the downside of his career and can’t get sideline to sideline anymore, but theres not a running back in the league that wants to meet Ray Lewis between the tackles.

I have no respect for likely murderers. Anyone who has read the reports of his alleged crime knows that Ray Lewis got away with, at a minimum, being an accomplice to murder. He is a disgusting human being, and the fact that he is good at football is meaningless considering his last 9 seasons should have been spent behind bars. I hope he snaps his neck before he retires, so we can get to see some justice.

Since you’re so quick to defend Ray because the prosecution dropped charges, I wonder if you’re as equally defensive of Ben because the prosecution didn’t bring any charges.

The Ray Lewis that EVERY team in the league wish they had. The Ray Lewis EVERY team in the league will wish they had, when he starts coaching.

I can’t understand the complete lack of respect for not only one of the greatest LB’s to ever play the game, but one of, if not THE greatest leader this great game has ever seen.

He is a man among boys and has a passion for the game that anyone in their right mind has to respect.

The Lynch play ranks right up there with Allen Iverson breaking Jordan down. Oddly enough, ESPN hasn’t show many replays of it. It didn’t even make the top 10 plays. ESPN, Come on MAN!!!

Oh the plus side, this will help out the cameramen.

Every Ravens game I’ve ever seen is 1) half Ray Lewis coverage, and 2) the rest of the team playing the actual game.

Being able to focus on the game will be a relaxing change of pace.

Ray Lewis has been MIA the last 2 years. It will be nice watching the pre-game shows without Rays over hyped antics. Soon as the kickoffs is over, Ray’s pre-game speech is useless, AKA the Ravens Seahawk loss.
Like Hindes Ward with the Steelers, time for Ray to retire. Ray for years can only make tackles between the hash marks.
