ReutersRaiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey has left the game at Minnesota on a stretcher, after taking a knee to the head while being tackled in Oakland’s game against the Vikings.
Heyward-Bey was immobilized after the hit. He raised his right hand as he was leaving the playing surface.
His helmet came off after he was struck in the back of the head.
We’ll continue to monitor his situation.

Was it the head? It looked like he came down hard on his rear-end and jarred his back. I was thinking compression fracture when I saw the play.
Get well soon young man, we need you
@ruddegger
His head hit the knee of the linebacker coming up the field. Nothing malicious, just one of those things that happens.
EJ Henderson was flying in and kneed him in the head pretty bad…Hate it for DHB…He was making definite strides this year.
May never justify being drafted that high, but potential to be a solid #2 NFL WR.
Another blow to the Raiders offense..
Damn.

Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if both happened.
The amount of injuries this team has had this year is nothing short of amazing.
Even more amazing though is the play of the 2nd and 3rd stringers.
This is one really talented team, like it or not.
The disgusting Viqueen fans were doing the Wave while doctors were attending to him. Stay classy, queens.
It’s a spine injury. He didn’t look woozy after the hit, that’s why although it was reported as a head injury, I felt that wasn’t the cause.
Thoughts & prayers for DHB. This is a talented team. Bur also an incredibly stupid and poorly disciplined team as well.
