Getty ImagesEagles receiver DeSean Jackson exited MetLife Stadium with a walking boot on his foot. He said he’s fine.
The walking boot suggested otherwise.
On Monday, coach Andy Reid said that Jackson has a bruised foot.
“It’s sore today,” Reid said, per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “But it’s not a Lisfranc [sprain] or one of those things. It got stepped on. It’s tender. He came in early this morning and got treatment, so we’ll see how he does.”
The 4-6 Eagles host the Patriots on Sunday, and the home team still has no margin for (further) error.
Jackson played well on Sunday, despite a post-play taunting penalty that under a strange quirk in the rules wiped out a 50-yard gain. As explained in Monday’s 10-pack, the call was the right application of a bad rule.

Maybe he bruised it when it was stuck in his mouth.
Just cut this idiot. If your not going to pay him and make him happy, then the Eagles just need to part ways.
They have to resign Jackson. Did people not watch the Arizona game? Their offense is predicated on the threat of Jackson deep. Look where the safeties play when Jackson is on the field versus when he is not on the field. His mere presence opens up things for other players.
Strike three. Take away his man card
As a Giants fan, reading the headline, my first thought was “Did he bruise his foot running all over the Giants defense on Sunda night?”
Agreed on the application of a bad rule. He should have been penalized, but they shouldn’t have suffered a greater penalty because the opposing team happened to also commit one.
check out Fat Mike Myers in the background. He’ll never go away Philly fans. He will be stalking the sidelines until a Philly Cheese steak finally gets him. Have Jamie Lee Curtis deliver it to him.
@illcomm: if the Eagles followed your advice the season may have been much different. They have enough WRs to cut this guy & survive. Or, they could have payed him and who knows what they’d of gotten? Their strategy sucked.
Thank god illcom doesn’t run the team
If I’m an NFL coach I’m telling my players “If someone taunts, punch them in the face. It will negate the play.”
Rex Ryan will be there to check it out in the morning.

Really…2 dislikes on that comment I made? Hilarious . There is no end to the hatred on PFT.
This is what you get when you sign turds to your team.
Drama as usual for him
Great talent but a drain on the team.
He is a PUNK and it will continue with DeSean and others throughout the league. He shows no respect for the game by taunting the opposing D-Coordinator or bumping officials, which went unaddressed by the NFL.
Look at the replay Rodger and tell us it wasn’t intentional.

ha!
D-Jack disappears in big games more than Houdini did pulling tricks. A mercurial talent who lacks the hard mentality to be a true team player.
