APThere was a lot of fanfare regarding Tashard Choice moving to the Redskins. Well, at least for a running back.
There will likely be less fanfare for Choice’s release just a few weeks later.
The Redskins waived the former Cowboys running back on Tuesday after only one game where Choice was active. Dallas held Choice to nine yards on seven touches, and Mike Shanahan decided he had seen enough.
The team activated rookie Evan Royster from the practice squad to take Choice’s place. We’re sure this move will usher in an era of productivity and predictability in the Redskins backfield.

They’ve made their Choice…..better to view the rookies and see how they develop over the next six 2012 preseason games…..
Choice to the Broncos?
Does Shanny make it thru this offseason? He probably will because of his “reputation” but he’s been completely inept since coming back to the NFL.
Tashard “Free” Choice.
Released to add room for Kyle Orton.
I wish Cleveland would make the move…
Was a bad move from the start. When Hightower went down for the season the skins lost a decent blocking back. Choice is not a replacement. I wouldn’t be surprised if the skins picked him up to get an “edge” over Dallas. Shanny should have seen enough on film to know he wasn’t the guy. Another wasted season… What else is new?
Headed to the Dolphins or as I like to call them, the Miami Former Cowboys.

No… no, he’s been inept since Elway retired. One playoff win after that- it boggles the mind. My mind, it is now boggled.
More like Tashard “Horrible” Choice.
They only picked him up to try and get 1 good game out of him – against Dallas. It didn’t work…hahaha, what fools are Shanny and Snyder.
Damn, he didn’t even have a chance to fumble!
Time to light off Evan the “Oyster” and see what he can do for the Skins.

It did work a$$bag. The game came down to a field goal. That’s as much can be guaranteed in football. Such a douche. Kiss the rings!
the only person DUMBER than shanahan is daniel snyder for hiring him! that’s why the owners needed a pay cut, cause they’re STUPID!
@thagawdshow…
Yes Cleveland needs help -any kind of help to give Colt a fighting chance. Even Choice might be able to show a spark. But, it appears that management doesn’t want to succeed at this point.
Plenty of time to seek out Mike Vick for more autographed gloves.
There was no fanfare. You’re making stuff up again.
Isn’t football a team sport? Shanahan never lets any chemistry or flow develop with his revolving door of players. You have one crappy performance and your benched. Let somebody get some freaking rhythm dude
The broncos need him for a tiny amount of insurance.
Shanahan is a horrible coach.
Why would ANYONE want to play for some idiot that wont let u play cuz you didnt do xyz on the last play…..
Soon he will start benching offensive players if they dont score a TD on every play….
the guy is the perfect example of clueless moron
Signed him to pump him for info on Dallas, then discarded immediately after.
I agree with the move…promote your own draft pick…congrats Evan…looked good in preseason…give him a shot and see what happens
Yuk it up. Skins have lost 6 starters on offense from week one. Of course the offense sucks. It’s the 3rd and 4th string. Loved that snarky comment about Royster at the end there. Bet nobody saw him in preseason. I did. He looked pretty good. (And he was extremely productive in college).
Am I the only stats nerd who says Helu is head and shoulders above their RB corps?

that’s why their defense looked so good stopping the run, i guess this is accepted nowadays but when i was young a long time ago they called it cheating, this goes a long way in telling your team what you think of them “we have to cheat to win” given a decent chance Tashard Choice will make someone a decent back

Good coaches don’t put up with players being lazy. Agree 100% with Shanahan and 0% with you.
Shanahan is like a old player whose skills have eroded, what ever that player does it just doesnt work bottom line hes done. His best runner is Helu and he plays sparingly,Choice got 7 carries and he cuts him ,not like the other backs did anything ……….and if your line sucks then so do your rbs
True, dg. And you’d have to say it worked. It’s the only competative game for us since Rex was benched.
I always thought Tashard was the real problem in Washington. With him out of the way the Redskins can go back to their winning ways.
