Ray Lewis out for Thanksgiving night

Ray Lewis AP

A rumor circulated over the weekend that Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will miss the rest of the season following a foot injury suffered against the Seahawks in Week 10.

He officially has missed two of the seven remaining games.

Lewis is inactive for Thursday night’s Har-Bowl, which gets started at 8:20 p.m. ET on NFL Network.

49ers running back Frank Gore is active for the 49ers despite a knee injury.

Via ESPN.com, the other inactive Ravens are linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, receiver Tandon Doss, cornerback Chris Carr, running back Anthony Allen, linebacker Sergio Kindle, and defensive tackle Arthur Jones.

Inactive for the 49ers are quarterback Scott Tolzien, receiver Brett Swain, cornerback Shawntae Spencer, fullback Bruce Miller, guard Daniel Kilgore, guard Mike Person, and nose tackle Ian Williams.

And the Ravens get away with yet ANOTHER bogus call — the same chop block Gore got called for is EXACTLY what the Ravens did all game to the Steelers in week one. Difference is, the Ravens weren’t ever flagged for it. But tonight, the SAME chop block costs the 49ers a TD.

But keep on whining about how the league favor the Steelers, and how the Ravens always get robbed, Baltimore fans.

And ANOTHER bogus call — a Flacco pick turned into a cheesy P.I. PERFECT position by the DB on that one. What a joke.

What was that about the league being against you, Ravens fans?

The Ravens will go as far as the refs will take them.

  9. tobiasjodter says: Nov 24, 2011 9:32 PM

Wow. The refs are big-time jobbing the Niners. Both huge plays overturned on flat out non-sense calls. Outrageous. Ravens get another PI? What is wrong with this league. Every time this entire season someone touches a Raven WR they throw a flag. As soon as the ball came out of Flacco’s hand I said – “OK, here comes the obligatory PI call.” Sure enough, on cue, there it came.

Afyer these last few weeks, Ravens fans have given up any right to complain about the refereeing ever again…

  11. tdk24 says: Nov 24, 2011 9:46 PM

It the parents of the Harbaughs thought it was hard to watch 1 son lose in the playoffs I wonder how they’ll take 2 sons losing in the playoffs.

  12. bdub85 says: Nov 24, 2011 9:47 PM

How is holding a receivers arm not PI?

  13. ampatsisahypocrite says: Nov 24, 2011 9:49 PM

3Octave –the paranoid Ravens fan thrives on acting like the league is in some conspiracy against them. Their trick is just to ignore the calls that go their way, or better yet — have the nerve to lecture OTHERS on why you shouldn’t whine about the calls!

Tonight’s game is a joke! San Fran is totally getting robbed.

  14. flabtreesports says: Nov 24, 2011 9:50 PM

Guys, calm down. Are you still complaining about legal chop blocks from week one? Read the rule. A center/guard chop block is nothing like a guard/RB chop block.

I agree that the PI was ticky tack, but Torrey’s arm was clamped at his side. Could have been a no-call, but it wasn’t blown.

In closing, you claim to be Steeler fans. Start acting like it.

  15. larryed says: Nov 24, 2011 9:50 PM

Just an observation – why no National Anthem? Is that Baltimore’s decision or the unpatriotic NFL Network?

  16. ampatsisahypocrite says: Nov 24, 2011 9:57 PM

Hey flabtree — watch the replay. Torrey Smith EXTENDS HIS ARM to try and push off the DB — if anything HE should be called for OPI. “Clamped at his side”? I don’t think so.

Ticky-tack isn’t the word for it.

The Ravens are being handed this one.

  17. flabtreesports says: Nov 24, 2011 9:59 PM

Ampats and 3octave: any thoughts on the block in the back on Wilson?

    *crickets*

  18. bdub85 says: Nov 24, 2011 10:00 PM

The National Anthem is played before every Ravens game. They just didn’t show it on TV.

  19. flabtreesports says: Nov 24, 2011 10:06 PM

    @larryed:

They always do it, but NFLN didn’t show it.

I don’t recall ever making a comment like that. Are you talking to all Ravens fans or just a few? If I did make such a comment, please quote me.
It amazes me that fans that hate another team also hate the fans of that team. Unless we are fans of the team you like, we’re all idiots, right?

  24. causeisaid says: Nov 25, 2011 12:27 AM

    @ampatsisahypocrite

You do more complaining about the refs than any fan on this site.

The Ravens recorded 9 sacks. The refs didnt even try to call the blatant holding by the 49ers Oline. And San Fran didnt get a horrible call with that phantom block in the back??

The 49ers didnt get hosed or robbed by the officials. That got beat one on one by a good team.
