Too bad because he was moving the team with no problems. The throw to score the touchdown was a great play. Personally I fell the hit to Leinart was a deliberate attempt to break the collarbone and it worked.

People who are calling him a bust don’t know what they are talking about. You are not a bust if you break a bone in your shoulder.

Good suggestion, hadn’t thought about him. The ones that came to mind were Marc Bulger, Jake Delhomme, Daunte Culpepper, Todd Bouman, Jim Sorgi, Todd Collins, or Patrick Ramsey. Not sure who would be the best choice though.

I feel bad for ol Matt here he was a month ago falling asleep during film study, maybe running 10 to 15 plays at practice, getting Schaub coffee and doughnuts every morning and now he finally gets a chance to play. Matt actually looked decent, probably because the weight of the team wasn’t on his back and the worse happens. Well at least he still gets a check.

The team finally gets a elite defense, good special teams and great running game and this happens. I really feel bad for Leinart this was his chance to try out for teams now he has to start all over after his surgery

Don’t get me wrong, I feel bad for Leinart, but Yates looked better in preseason, and better today. He can actually make all the throws an NFL QB needs to make, unlike Leinart. I know he’s a rookie and he’ll have his moments, but he only needs to go 2-4 to pretty much guarantee a division title for the Texans. And for a team who relies primarily on the run, that shouldn’t be that bad.

I felt TJ Yates played better than Leinart personally… he knew where to go with the ball and made sharper decisions. All Leinart did was check it down to Arian Foster play after play… he hit a tight end once.
