Sidney Rice out with a head injury

The Seahawks have scored 10 straight points to grab a second half lead over the Redskins, but they’ll have to stay in front without wide receiver Sidney Rice.

Rice left the game after a Tarvaris Jackson incompletion in the third quarter and the team has announced that he will not return because of a head injury. Rice suffered a concussion in the victory over the Ravens two weeks ago, but returned to play against the Rams last week. If he has another concussion, two in such a short period of time would obviously be reason for concern.

The Seahawks didn’t miss him much on a fourth quarter drive that ended with a touchdown to Golden Tate. Jackson hit Mike Williams and Doug Baldwin to help put the team into position, although their best offensive weapon on the day has been Marshawn Lynch’s spirited work on the ground.

Im lifelong hawk fan, and id like to say this guy is fragile as glass. On the field, he is impressive. But in reality he is averaging one injury every 2 games. This is unacceptable

Why do you think the Vikings didn’t fight very hard to keep him. He’s only doing the exact same thing that he did in Minnesota. When he is on the field, he is amazing. Problem is getting him and then keeping him on the field.
