Wimbley caught the ball with all momentum facing the bears, then had to turn around. Two big boys lumbering down the field, but the big o-linman hustled and had the angle to make the play. Great hustle by aaron curry as well to get the block. Funny how bears are whining about a horse collar tackle that resulted in givin the raiders an extra 2.5 yards, but no talk about how the offensive receiver pushed off on the saftey for the big bomb catch late in the 4th quarter.

Yet, all we hear is what would have happened with Cutler. Maybe Jerry Angelo should have invested in a better back up or gone out and got someone (good) like the Raiders did. Oh wait, Jerry is just good for stealing Baltimore’s picks on draft day. I would love to have a rematch with all the players on both teams available. Aww shucks, that would mean the Bears getting to the Super Bowl, but this team isn’t even getting to the play-offs. See ya!!

I use to feel the same way until I saw the Bears post season get flushed away as a result of Jay Cutler breaking his thumb after chasing down a DB after an interception. Now I understand why QB’s watch the guy run by.

I was a big DT, and this RB shot off about 45-60 yrds downfield, our FS slowed him down just enough for me to catch up and grab him. On film it looks like I’m in slow motion compared to this kid, but I took the right angle and somehow caught up. I remember the worst part being, it was on the far side of the field, so after about a 60yrd sprint, I had to hustle 55 yrds across the field to our sideline. I was gassed, but proud.

—COME ON MAN! If you saw that play then you would know that IT WAS NOT a horse collar…all jersey thats it. I would consider tackling by the hair much, much more dangerous then grabbing a players jersey–that has to be a legal play–point is it was a great hustle play and no flag.

Joe Flacco was fined for a similar horse collar this season and Matt Stafford was fined and called dirty for shedding a blocker chasing down an int. Of course the real story is the inconsistency of this story. Nearly all penalties like this are hustle plays but had this play been in anothet uniform it would have just been another personal foul and lumped in as a dirty play expected to be fined. In the league today and with some opinions on this sites, it doesn’t matter how a player got to the play but how he finished it. A man who outweighs another by 70 LBs could ruin a career with a horse collar. Thankfully, the Raiders are tougher than to cry dirty or start a fight and cry about an attempt to end a career.

Not sure why you are getting down-voted. This play was very good, but the Owens play was the longest play in NFL history that did not end in a TD. Then the Falcons stuffed Minnesota, so they never got the TD. Best hustle play I have ever seen.
