Much to my (and probably everyone else’s other than Aaron himself) surprise, Maybin has been a great pickup for the Jets. Maybin hasn’t played this good since he was at Penn State. Maybe ever.

Rex has known Aaron since he was a teen at Mt Hebron High School in MD. They met while Aaron was a top prospect in high school and Rex was Defensive Coordinator of the Ravens. Rex knew Aaron had the potential to put it all together at the NFL level. So, it made sense to see them scoop him up after the Bills released him. I don’t see why Maybin wouldn’t be on a list for Comeback Player of the Year.

That Brad Smith comparison is horrible. I love Brad Smith, but look at his numbers this year. Is he worth 15 million a season?! No way. He scored 1 TD all year and that was against his former team…WOW…Maybin has been consistent this year, he leads the team in sacks. You mix the Jets defensive scheme and his skill set, you have a match that they didnt have in Buffalo. Good luck with Merriman.

I can tell you the what the difference is between Maybin on the Jets. The Bills D is really bad and they can’t afford to have a guy on the team that can only come in on 3rd down sometimes and just speed rush. The Jets have a lot better D and that might be the exact guy they need on 3rd down, not every down!. Also what does the Bills and the Jets both have in common? They both have cut Maybin. Don’t forget, Maybin was cut but the Jets in training camp but was brought back after an injury.

Hilarious that a few are chiding the Bills for letting Maybin go. The fact is, the kid turned into Albert Haynesworth, flipped his switch into diva mode and refused to produce anything while in Buffalo.
FAR MORE impressive and along the same lines was Brad Smith’s performance. Brad Smith on Offense was a better show than Maybin on Defense, but no talk at all about the Jets “letting him go.”

That picture looks like hands to the face.
Besides, Maybin only ever gets coverage sacks. He should give back the millions he stole from Buffalo, he didn’t earn one penny of it. All he did there was show how important a rookie wage scale is. While in Buffalo he was playing for fun, now his job is on the line, so he is actually trying, Rex Ryan has nothing to do with it.

And no, we didn’t TAN, we RAN the problem maker Lynch out who was always suspended anyway. McGahee didn’t want to be in Buffalo, so why make him stay? Winfield wanted WAY too much money for his skill set, Travis Henry ended up being a bust, Jason Peters plays half-assed and quits on plays, when he is on the field. The only one I’ll give you is Clements, but again, he was very pricey. Also, you name me one Bills fan that has a say in who we keep and don’t. Fans don’t make decisions for the team, I think that person would be the GM….Numbskull.

You Jets fans that talk about making the AFC championship the past two years are kind of annoying. No one cares that you mad the championship, except for Jets fans. You didn’t win the superbowl so does it matter that you made it to the semifinals? No one remembers the team that lost the conference championship game. I get that that is all you guys have goin for you but in reality it really means nothing in the end!!! And sorry to say, but Sanchez is not a good quarterback. He just isn’t! Packer fan btw. Not a bandwagoner either. Grew up an hour south of GB. On another note, was in Key West two weeks ago when the Pack played the Vikings on MNF. 23 out of roughly 80 people there had Packer apparel on. It was awesome. I was also there when the Jets lost to the Broncos. Maybe 8 Jets fans in the same bar. Saw more Bronco jerseys there! Pretty awesome when your fanbase (smallest market in professional sports) outnumbers the largest media market in the US. Proud to be a Packer fan!!!

whats being left out here is that Maybin went up against what exactly? The bills are missing more then half their offensive line in this game and even when they have everyone their line still sucks. Lets see Maybin have a game like that against the Pats

Maybin on a pound for pound basis really has been our best player this year. I hope he can keep it up, but he honestly hustles harder than any other player in the league during the few snaps he gets.

The Bills weren’t wrong. He’s not very big and his only move is to simply run around the edges and get to the quarterback.

Fortunately for Maybin, that’s fine, because with his motor he is constantly making plays. One one drive this past Sunday, the following happened:

1st Down: Maybin gets in with a pressure, Fitzpatrick panics and throws it away.

2nd Down: Maybin gets in with a pressure, Fitzpatrick panics and throws it away.

3rd Down: Maybin sacks Fitzpatrick.

He was the only bright spot on the team in the game against Baltimore (absolutely played his heart out, sack and a fumble).

He’s a really, really good player for the Jets.
