Over 300 yards, 3 TD’s, no picks. He’s obviously not Schaub, but he got the Panthers deep into the playoffs twice by having an excellent RB and chucking it up to an elite WR. I wish him the best of Luck, and will now be rooting for HOU in the playoffs since my Panthers are toast.

Yeah, just like he was too busy rehabbing last week… Wait, he was on the sidelines. Hate to tell you but Schaub can be available to practices for input. Thats the thing about rehab, he can rehab at any time. It’s also a little different since he is on IR. It’s not like he is pushing to get back on the field this year.

Exactly. Delhomme is a great guy & teamate but he’s got a gunslinger’s mentality w/o the tools to make it work, especially at the tail end of his career.

Unfortuanetly for Houston, they don’t have a lot of options.

Garcia still wants back in the NFL as a starter, whereas Delhomme is likely more willing to be a short term solution for a generous short term salary.

One thing to know about Kubiak is that he is loyal to an absolute fault. He’s not going to be interested in someone who feels they should be competing for Shaub’s job. He’s offering what he’s offering and if thats not enough he’ll go somewhere else.

Again, thats a complete shot in the dark, but knowing Kubiak as a Houstonian and Texans fan, and what I know of Garcia, I’d say its an educated guess.

Jeff Garcia isn’t going anywhere to mentor anyone. His time in Oakland showed us that. He knew he was coming in to try and get Russell right and all he did is complain about not being named the starter.

Garcia probably wanted to play so they didn’t want to bring him in. nothing worse then a mentor that wants nothing but for you to fail.
