Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network recently reported that the Dolphins won’t release their rights to quarterback Sage Rosenfels. Now, Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network reports that they have.

Agent Rick Smith confirms via Twitter that Rosenfels “is healthy and removed from NFI list today by the Dolphins.”

Since the trade deadline has passed, Rosenfels must clear waivers. The Texans reportedly were interested in bringing him back to Houston, but the Texans have since signed Jake Delhomme, who also is represented by Rick Smith.

The 11-year veteran has been employed the Redskins, Dolphins, Texans, Vikings, Giants, and Dolphins again. Even if he lands with the Texans again, keep in mind that he has only 12 career starts.

Of course, that’s still 12 more than T.J. Yates.
