Taylor made his name in Jacksonville by putting his foot in his mouth. If he wasn’t predicting a 2000 yard season every year, he was telling the fans how the Jaguars were better than the Titans each time we lost to them.

But he got this one right. Del Ego was a chest-pounding ex-jock who never took responsibility for any of the team’s failures. It was the QBs fault, the OC’s fault, they had too many injuries (some caused by axes in the locker room).

I’m still nervous about the sale of the team, but that’s a discussion for another thread. But firing Del Ego was so overdue that Mr Bookman from the Library Investigations Office had been put on the case.

Wish Fred Taylor was still playing, he was always one of my favorite running backs even though he was in our division for most of his career and then went to our archnemesis (I’m a Colts fan, btw). But anyway, Del Rio was a mediocre coach with a constant mediocre team. He was never that great of a head coach and probably never will be, don’t really see him getting another head coaching gig anytime soon, but could be a DC with some team reasonably soon. Hell, at this point, he should should just become the Colts DC.. I’d rather have him as the DC than the recent morons they’ve had (except Meeks).

C’MON MAN!!! Of all people, Fred Taylor should know that the players are just as guilty as the coaches. Del Rio was forced to make chicken salad outta chicken $#!t and it didn’t workout. The owners were never able to aquire quality free agents to help the team win. Del Rio had to make due with what he had which wasn’t very much to begin with. All I’m saying is if you blame one, you better blame them all.
