Connor Barwin’s last 4 years before this season. Tight end in college, then his Sr year moved to DE. Rookie season with Texans, played sparingly as a DE still trying to learn the postion. Last year Texans had high hopes with him at DE, first of the season his foot is turn almost 180 degrees with a badly broken leg.

This year is moved to OLB in a totally new system. This guy is just know getting over his injury 100% and learning the system he is playing in, the other OLB across from him is a 2nd round draft pick rookie who only got the chance to start when Mario Williams went out for the year.

Neither of these guys are Von Miller but they are both turning out to be very good players if they stay on track, can be one bad D for years to come!

Another Raider Fan here…

I absolutely HATED the fact that the Broncos drafted Miller, because of the fear that he would quickly develop into Derrick Thomas 2.0. So far, he’s exceeding those expectations.

His expected production going forward forces the Raiders to have to address the issues on the right side of their line. Sure, their new offensive line coach has done a bang up job of maximizing the talent level he inherited, but they’re gonna have to invest more here now that they finally have that franchise QB in Palmer.

It’s hilarious how ESPN talks over him in the debate for ROY. It’s all Newton vs. Dalton. You could make an argument that Miller should be in the conversation for defensive player of the year, not just for rookies.

Is there a defender in the NFL playin as well as Miller is? I don’t think so.. he’s almost unstopable, give some credit to Doom too, but Miller is as dominant as they come

I would like to say that Seabass is having quite a year, but honestly he has been doing this ever since he entered the league, as well as Lechler! Now the Offensive line is just playing awesome this year for sure!

Raider Fan here…

Von Miller scares the hell out of me. He is going to wreck havoc on the league for the next 10 years. Best pick in the draft this year…

As for Seabass, one of the best weapons in the league. Before every one jumps on that statement, let me qualify it. He puts 6 points a game on the board for the Raiders where other teams have to punt. Any plus field position is a scoring oppurtunity for us.
